There is no right technique at all in blues and boogie man, only efficience, sound, own feeling and swing. Forget the classical way and play with hand or fingers, no matter.

For you it's easy to say "There is no right technique" instead of practicing the right one. But this makes the small difference between good and phenomenal Boogie Woogie piano players.
