Seizure with fever in children

Rushed him to hospital and the nurses allt hought i was losing it. Just because he was awake, he was lifeless in my arms, wasnt talking, when he tried to talk he'd mumble, the nurses thought it was "normal". A parents know when their child is acting "normal". My son was never treated, and wasnt even seen by a doc until near 3 hrs later!!! I am happy to say that it has not happened again, but with his current health the past mth im afraid it may reaccur soon. thankfully he has his own doc now

This is definately NOT FUNNY! It scared me half to death last christmas eve, my 3 year old had a fever for a few days and then one morning when he woke up he seizured in my arms and got violently sick.

i had a fever seizure when i was very little... and look! im alive posting this comment! yes children do die from this though.......

Children have died from this!? My sons had several, he was admitted to the stollery after the second, it went on for hours, he wasnt convulsing but they kept saying his brain was seizing. He had an MRI and just sat up out of nowhere, he was very sick, they never did find out what was wrong with him but he did recover. My heart goes out to the parents who lost their children. I didnt lose my son, but i know i came close. Was it the seizure that caused the passing, or the underlyring illness?

This comment I was referring too. Is not funny!!! my daughter had a febrile seizure was put on life support from it and died Febuary 16th 2007! It is a hardly a "harmless condition.She was 4 and a half about to start kindergarten and she is gone..... People need to know that Doctors need to Pay attention to this It can be and in my case was deadly!!

7 months ago I have a solution: pick the kid up by his ankles, take him to the bathroom and give him a continuous swirly for 30 ....

I have a solution: pick the kid up by his ankles, take him to the bathroom and give him a continuous swirly for 30 minutes straight, making sure to keep their mouth and nose submerged at the bottom of the toilet bowl... the little fucker won't jerk around like a moron ever again.
