It would actually be better if people didn't eat meat period, it would feed those who died from starvation this year twenty times over and would free up 2/3 of the land currently used for agricultural means.
I'm pretty sure that overconsumption of meat is a CAUSE of world hunger; like meat-animals consume more edible food in grains and such than they put out as meat. That's why I'm a vegetarian, among other reasons: because meat production is wasteful.

Hahaha I totally thought this would be you preaching against animal abuse... Not that I'm for animal abuse, but I'm quite selfish and I'd rather have a happy me than a happy chicken.
we could easily feed everyone in the world without harmful pesticides and fertilizers or mistreating animals. People need to stop being greedy and wasteful. Everyone needs to stop breeding like bacteria! BTW I'm not vegetarian, but I'm against animal abuse, over consumption and entitlement.
@boredfuckwit There is no logic? are you sure you want to use logic as your argument? It is illogical not to eat meat, everything that can replace it (soy) has to be severely processed and farmed in large quantities before we can get enough, and have it edible. Now how does that make logical sense? Despite what you might think, we are animals, just intelligent, animals eat other animals to survive, that is just how it works.
Eh, I'd say I would. I'd feel really bad though, knowing that animals were suffering for us. That's why I try not to think too much about the fact that food animals are treated terribly before they're killed. It makes me feel like I'd like to go veggie, but I have nowhere near enough willpower.

Indians made pardon rituals before going hunting. After murder of an animal they asked a pardon from a spirit of animal...... People's hearts became stale. Wake up people
@oppositeofcreativity so, what you're saying is that you would rather be born to live a life of revolting conditions and then be killed to be eaten than not be born at all? are you sure?
It's not that we don't have food (I'm at Agriculture major, and we have a global issues class that deals with hunger repetitively...), there is actually a surplus and much of it goes wasted every day. The problem is, food is not always so easily accesible to the people who need it most. This can be because of politics, regional bariers, food costs, or many other important factors.
I'm a vegetarian because I believe that animals shouldn't be treated horribly because they can be. However if I -needed- meat to survive then I'd eat it. The fact is that I can live without it so I do.
But if I was on an island with no eatable plants or something then hell yeah I'd kill a fish and eat it.
I'm terrible at expressing myself but basically I choose not to eat meat; that doesn't make me better or worst than someone who does eat it.
@sleepmydeer I respect your view on this, but the thing is, you would die if you tried to live off only plants on an island, even a lush island. You would never find enough protein without eating meat. I know you said that you would if you had to, I was just proving a point.
Hey, here's an idea, if you idiots are so fucking passionate about it, why don't you go on facebook or email or some other shit where noone else has to be involved with your pms
people dont even have to eat meat. we can ge the same dietary requirements from things such as beans. and why cant we feed the poor people somethig else? like fruit? why MEAT? why does everything revolve around meat?? cows and horses etc.dont eat it. why do we have to eat so much and in a cruel way? i just get it.
About one in a hundred sources for meat are inhumane, and yet their existence gives a bad name to honest hard-working people who actually treat the animals to an honest and good life before the slaughter.. We're just another animal in the food chain, and some animals wouldn't hesitate to eat us to survive. So we can eat them all we want. :/ Oh no, we beat the wolf to the chicken, darn. I love animals, but I'm not gonna whine when they were just going be dying anyways, eaten by something else.
@LoneWolfLunar ..your an idiot. they are ALL inhumane. no matter what they do the animals do NOT get a proper life /freedom.and we are nothing like bears,wolvesetc. they eat only what they need to SURIVE. they dont breed a whole species for the one purpose of to evetually be fat enouph to be murdered and feed to feed obese people who ave already had 3 servings of steak in one day ,where humans only require a very small portion of meat to be healthy compared to what we actually eat. TAKE THAT
@LoneWolfLunar uh setttle down.. no. my point is humans do not eat meat to SURVIVE, they eat it for the sake of eating it and we eat more than we are supposed to. too much in fact some cases its actually unhealthy. we eat an uneccesary amount . i love pit bulls. and if they bite you chances are YOU did something wrong. oh and I DONT HAVE A BLOG. soooo..??there is no argument to this. fact is ,its cruel to animals.If you try to say its ok well then you are just stupid and ignorant.
imagine if you were stuffed into a cage full of hundreds of other dirty chickens for your whole life, no excersice, no freedom no love. nada. how can someone say that thats ok? douch bag
@AbsolutesMayVary um so you can realize the pain we bring apon these animals? what a stupid question.. think occasionly of the suffering of which you spare yourself the thought.
@AbsolutesMayVary . its not about the WAY they kill them, Its about how they treat the animals before they are killed , and WHY we kill them. animals do it purely to survive, they only take what they need, and they do it quick. They dont keep them locked up for their whole lvies. do you understand what im saying?
Really? I thought a major point stressed by your kind is that we don't kill animals painlessly enough. Afterall, a small rod entering the brain in the blink of an eye is way worse than a lion eating an animal while it's alive. You think if a lion was intelligent enough to keep a caribou in an enclosed space and save itself the time of chasing it wouldn't? You're sure every farm animal is "miserable"? How do you know how an animals feels, can you read it's mind?
@AbsolutesMayVary by my kind...?? what?? . please shut up. you dont understand a word im saying. stop amaking argumentas for arguments sake. and i dont think that " every farm animal is miserable". im talking about cage chickens. and the other animals that ARE treated badly. do you actually think that there are animals that arent reated badly? sorry but no. and people these days eat way more meat then required. so much that its unhealthy. and peopel dont care about the animals either.
Animals in zoos seem treated well. Do you think animals value the same things as a person? You're right, people don't care about animals because their life isn't as important as a human's. I don't believe animals should suffer unnecessarily, but if an animal should have to be inconvenienced for a person then it doesn't matter. For anything to live something has to die. Why not stop eating plants, some of them die when you eat them? Isn't a plant's life as important as an animal's?
@AbsolutesMayVary This comment made me laugh, it seems you've forgotten the small fact that humans themselves are animals, being at the top of the food chain doesn't change that. I'd like to say/agree with other commenters, this isn't a question of who, be they lion or human, but of how and why. There is no need to torture an animal before its often unneccesary death. This is about consideration, yes, eating meat is part of humain nature, but what if something were to reverse our positions?
@bloopybleepbloop Do you really think if there were a deadly epidemic or if most of our useful technology were lost, that we, weak human, beings would stand a chance against that lion? As you said, lions aren't intelligent enough to use "efficient" ways to kill their prey as we are, making them also not smart enough to kill with compassion. Try not to be so ingorant and actually think before you speak, I'm sure your caring and compassionate mother told you that.
I'm sure you don't. Your comment was obviously meant to be some sort of pseudo-argument, what with attacking the ad hominem, that I was supposed to respond to. However, besides that I didn't really see an argument.
@AbsolutesMayVary I find it interesting you used the word "psuedo-argument" as it can be rather ambiguous in the sense of having multiple meanings or definitions. However, if it would make my comment any clearer, I would remove the last bit about mothers. Unfortunatly, I can't.
@AbsolutesMayVary Therfore, I apologise for bringing irrelevance into this disscusion, but I don't believe there is a specific form to use when writting YouTube comments. On that note, I still stand by what I wrote before as you bashing my comment hardly takes away any sustenance.
Well when you take away the logical fallacy you take away the bulk of your argument with it. The rest of your "argument" is just a regurgitation of what I already posted, somehow in an opposing tone. The statement involving a lack of technology and lions is an argument that opposes itself.
@AbsolutesMayVary Logical fallacy? You keep saying my comments are weak or irrelevant, yet you have not once given me a valid reason why. From where I stand, my comments make sense. However, you say they don't, I would gladly accept another point or opinion, if you would give a proper reason as to why.
@AbsolutesMayVary Also, I would like to hear how technoloy and lions contradict eachother. Really dude, without elaboration your comments make you seem obsessed with the YouTube comment or you have the inability to admit someone else may actually have a good point when you yourself disagree.
Lions aren't in the wrong when they kill because they lack the means to kill efficiently. If humanity looses it's technology then we too cannot kill efficiently and humanely. Where does that leave humanity in what might have your argument? I really don't think I read a point, good or otherwise.
@AbsolutesMayVary So, I'm thinking you may have misunderstood my original point. Of course lions or any other predator other than humans cannot kill we can. That is why we should, in a sense, take advantage of this and kill, not only efficiently, but also compassionatly. Like you said, if we lose all technology we won't have as many humane options for killing, we would, theoretically, be in the same position as any other beast.
@AbsolutesMayVary Thankfully, we do have the ressources and technology to provide less painfull deaths to those creatures soon to be consumed. My first comment was relating to yours in which you wrote, "Why do I have to imagine something from the perspective of an animal if I'm a human?", to think like an animal is to think like yourself.
ok i'm a long time viewer but this video made me loose a little bit of respect for you.
lets see who's laughing when you come back as a chicken in your next life spending everyday sharing a small cage with 10 other chickens in a dark shed. fun.
The answer is, no. There is no reason for starving people, or for anyone, to eat meat or any animals at all. There is a lot of food that is better for you in all ways, and besides, I don't think that the human race is in any way more worth than any animal. Therefore, no, I wouldn't let animals suffer because people are starving. Eat beans for god's sake.
I understood you just fine, that's why I hate you. You're saying people are starving because they refuse to eat plants. If that's not what you meant then maybe you should be more clear. If it is what you implied, you're an idiot. I didn't give you an answer, there was no question.
Idiot. I was very clear. I didn't even MENTION why people are starving. I said that there's no reason for ALREADY STARVING people to eat meat, they can eat plants. No need for meat, even if you're starving. Now read, and understand. Or stfu because you're a stupid bitch.
If there isn't a reason for them to be starving why are they? You make it sound like these people are only dying just because they don't wanna eat their greens. If someone is about to die of starvation don't you think they will eat anything they can? You do understand that not everyone can just go to Wal-Mart and get some tomatoes right? I mean the soil can be unfit, there could be a drought, ect.
@Vetauriel88 Ah the old "calling names because you can't think of a real argument" bit. An animal isn't going to know the difference between a human eating it and an animal eating it.
@sethlocke2012 I have a real argument, if you'd cared to read the rest of what I wrote.
So just because some animals are eaten anyway, it's ok for 6 billion people to cage billions of animals and shoot them? That's like saying that some people are killed by mooses or bears so whatever, we can just go on and kill each other, since some of us are going to die anyway. Yeah, that's what I call a real argument! ....
@Vetauriel88 Okay so lets say we don't eat the animals. Then they can get back to helping us advance as a society. O wait, they don't help, all they do is have sex and shit everywhere.
SOME animals are eaten? I didn't know wild animals sometimes die of "old age". I was under the impression wild animals only lived until they were killed. I also didn't know SOME people die. Harming PEOPLE makes civilization impossible. Without civilization, you wouldn't even this idiotic idea that animals shouldn't be used as a resource. Admit it, your feelings on animals only stems from wanting to be "better" than other people. Feel free to continue ignoring my other post.
@shingle101 Because people are idiots and really don't want to understand what you're saying when you're saying something smart, because that means they'd have to use their BRAINS.
If there's something I'm missing then elaborate instead of just insulting me. You either aren't making it clear or I understand it and I hate you. Here's my argument: There are 6.8 million people. They kill a great deal of animals every year for many reasons. Imagine if people completely stopped killing animals. Now, imagine the overpopulation that would ensue. Overpopulation kills animals through starvation and dehydration, causing much more suffering than any slaughterhouse.
People and animals would begin to compete for resources, such as food. With animals as a food source gone, millions of jobs would be lost. Economies would be crippled and poverty would be at an all time high. Crime would become necessary for survival. But hey, at least we're not hurting animals. Guess know what stops overpopulation, PREDATORS. Guess what humans are, predators. Nature operates on balance. Start thinking with reason instead of pointless emotions. You sicken me.
@AbsolutesMayVary Yeah, you're the one who keeps telling me that I'm stupid because you can't bother to read my posts properly, and I'm the one insulting you? Sure thing. I have elaborated a couple of times and I just can't make it any clearer. And yeah, of course there are animals that die of old age.
Apparently you've never been to a pig farm or a slaughter house. Maybe you should visit one and get some perspective.
@Vetauriel88 Well i have been to a slaughter house. Whats your point? I raise cattle and i have had them killed so i can eat them. I feed them so they can in turn, feed me. You are aware that humans are designed to be omnivores aren't you?
I guess you aren't reading my posts, since you just keep evade my points. IF SOMEONE IS STARVING THEY'RE GOING TO EAT ANYTHING THEY CAN, EVEN PLANTS. IF SOMEONE IS STARVING THERE'S A REASON BEHIND IT BESIDES "I'm going to have a steak or nothing." You haven't elaborated at all. What animal, that isn't a pet or a zoo animal, doesn't get eaten by other animals.? I live in Texas, you jackass. I understand slaughterhouses more than any idiot that does biased web searches.
And you keep avoiding my points instead of actually debating like someone that knows what they're talking about. Keep up the 3rd grade tendencies, it shows how intelligent you are.
@AbsolutesMayVary If you'd cared about reading my posts you would've noticed that I've said a couple of times (but you're apparently unable to read so I don't expect you to understand this time either), that I'm not saying that anyone who's starving is rather going to starve than eat vegetables. That's not what this is about, but you keep talking about it. All I was saying is that there's no particular reason for starving people to eat meat.
@AbsolutesMayVary If someone's starving there's an extremely small possibility that they'd just happen to walk into a cow on a field and decide to chop it up for dinner. The more probably reason to why they have meat is that they get it from someone who isn't starving, preferrably some aid organisation like Red Cross or whatever. And in that situation I don't see the need to give them meat. Because they don't need meat. Give them vegetables, fruits, beans or whatever.
@AbsolutesMayVary There is just NO NEED for anyone, starving or not, to eat meat. Of course, if you're in the desert starving and the only thing you have to eat is an animal, you will eat it. That's why animals kill eat other for food, because they have to. But if there is a choice, why does the first alternative have to be to kill an animal just because meat tastes good? It doesn't, and it's pathetic to start talking about what "humans are designed" to do and not to do.
@AbsolutesMayVary We're "designed" to hunt our food down, but still here we are, going to the closest supermarket to buy it and spend the rest of our time making money or do whatever we like (preferrably with as little excercise as possible, not at all close to what we were originally). So cut the crap and understand what I'm saying. If meat isn't the ONLY option, then it shouldn't be an option at all.
Thank you, that actually makes sense. However, if someone is malnourished there are nutrients they are going need from meat and plants. Diets operate on balance and so does the earth. When we kill animals it improves our lives and keeps them from overpopulating, preventing drawn out deaths by starvation. You have to admit not all life is equal. I'm sure you don't go out of your way to save single-celled organisms. Your life ends other life, intentionally or not, just accept it.
@AbsolutesMayVary How you made that statement into "you think that people starve because they don't like vegetables" is not my problem. You're obviously just into picking fights with people you don't have to face in real life, and I'm not going to give you the pleasure of playing with me. Have fun.
I didn't "pick a fight". You made a statement that only a belligerent prick would make and I told you what I thought about it. You're obviously into arguing with people that you think are stupider than you, but when they're not you ignore their points and result to insults. Sorry for making valid points.
You want people to die en masse. Possible from a pandemic that would drastically lower our population, one that would kill much slower than any gunshot, but a world war is out of the question ? How about neither and you stop aspiring for worldwide death.
But I mean of course the chinese (NOT ALL. Some. Most. A lot,, but not all) had to go and screw that up by eating dogs and babies, but hey, you don't see me telling off chinese... out loud.
And if you disagree because you're a chinese vegan er something, fine, but look up Chinese Fur farms on youtube. You'll see why I hate them so much.
I'm all for people who love animals, because if you touch a dog in a mean way, you're gettin' the talk from me, but since the beggining of time, there has been certain animals for loving, and certain for eating, and if vegans want to go off of tofu all their life, fine, its their preference, but dont bag on the people that like meat.
I guess I'm saying this is something we can't come to an agreement on, might as well not batlle because it's never getting solved.
You also get an adrenaline rush and an orgasm when committing rape. Not saying that makes it bad to do anything that feels good. I'm jsut saying that just saying something feels good doesn't make it right. It just makes it evolutionarily advantageous.
actually Vicas23, i think if you're vegan, this video applies to you more than most people.
sure, the munching was a bit gratuitous, but his hypothetical question was valid.
(also, knowing a few vegans myself, why is it always their knee-jerk reaction to say pretty much anything animal-based is gross/unclean/unnatural? i mean fair enough, you don't eat it... but this is life! it's our world. animals die. so do plants. they are both natural resources. you're living in a sheltered bubble. lol)
When you feed grain to an animal and then eat the animal, you've lost energy or "food" in the process. To end world hunger, we should eat the grains directly. (You can also factor in that grains take less time to grow than animals, and preserve longer.)
Ew that chicken looks like a jiant ball of fluff and muck that's been deep fried. I didn't even think it was meat till he ripped a bit off and from the context I kinda guesed then.
Better question, the ultimate cure to world hunger is canabalism, supply exceeds demand ergo problem solved. but how many people would actually commit to eating others to save themselves?
i eat free range animals, because it's healthier for me. like, srsly. they put estrogen (as a growth hormone) into cows or whatever. did you know that the size of guys' balls has been getting smaller lately?
its all called natural selection. everything dies eventually. so what if you quicken the process, or delay it. its gonna happen anyway so you might as well deal.
ur right. I mean, they're just fuckin birds. I hate how people are all like, "DON'T KKILL THE ANIMALLSS!!! MAKE LOOOOVVVVVEEEE TO THEM!! *starts french kissing llama*" and it's like, "oh, I'm sorry I didn't feed this...pig one day, but next time i'll feed it and let my children starve, when ultimately we're just gonna eat it anyway"
Mu priorities are perfectly straight. You're simply trying to find ways to put me down. I would never let a human die, I just wouldn't kill a chicken to feed one. The whole concept of "killing the chickens to save the humans" is completely absurd anyways as there is more than one way to help them both. Causing pain is wrong no matter who or what it is done to; I'm humane enough to understand that.
I didn't say I would kill humans to save chickens. Also, your philosophy is warped. The fact that I can learn to love and cherish something that others look down upon and care not for shows that I am a caring person and means I get along with more people than most. I simply don't have the God complex that other vile people have, and I know that causing pain is wrong.
Chickens aren't peaceful creatures fyi! They fight and have a pecking order. Survival of the fittest. What is your definition of peaceful? Chickens kill.
I Grew up on a farm. I like chickens. They are our food. They are cute and small but they are also violent cruel creatures they attack each other and they kill to eat, as we all do. They kill each other! I've seen it!

LoneWolfLunar 1 year ago

Why do I have to imagine something from the perspective of an animal if I'm a human?
AbsolutesMayVary 1 year ago
@AbsolutesMayVary um so you can realize the pain we bring apon these animals? what a stupid question.. think occasionly of the suffering of which you spare yourself the thought.
KiraShimMers1 1 year ago
@KiraShimMers1
Yea that was a stupid question. I'm pretty sure most people kill animals in a more efficient way than other animals.
AbsolutesMayVary 1 year ago
@AbsolutesMayVary . its not about the WAY they kill them, Its about how they treat the animals before they are killed , and WHY we kill them. animals do it purely to survive, they only take what they need, and they do it quick. They dont keep them locked up for their whole lvies. do you understand what im saying?
KiraShimMers1 1 year ago
@KiraShimMers1
AbsolutesMayVary 1 year ago
@AbsolutesMayVary by my kind...?? what?? . please shut up. you dont understand a word im saying. stop amaking argumentas for arguments sake. and i dont think that " every farm animal is miserable". im talking about cage chickens. and the other animals that ARE treated badly. do you actually think that there are animals that arent reated badly? sorry but no. and people these days eat way more meat then required. so much that its unhealthy. and peopel dont care about the animals either.
shingle101 1 year ago
@shingle101
AbsolutesMayVary 1 year ago
@AbsolutesMayVary This comment made me laugh, it seems you've forgotten the small fact that humans themselves are animals, being at the top of the food chain doesn't change that. I'd like to say/agree with other commenters, this isn't a question of who, be they lion or human, but of how and why. There is no need to torture an animal before its often unneccesary death. This is about consideration, yes, eating meat is part of humain nature, but what if something were to reverse our positions?
bloopybleepbloop 1 year ago
@bloopybleepbloop Do you really think if there were a deadly epidemic or if most of our useful technology were lost, that we, weak human, beings would stand a chance against that lion? As you said, lions aren't intelligent enough to use "efficient" ways to kill their prey as we are, making them also not smart enough to kill with compassion. Try not to be so ingorant and actually think before you speak, I'm sure your caring and compassionate mother told you that.

I'm sorry, but did you make an argument?
AbsolutesMayVary 1 year ago
@AbsolutesMayVary I don't really understand how what you wrote has anything to do with what I wrote, but no, I believe I made a comment.
bloopybleepbloop 1 year ago
@bloopybleepbloop
I'm sure you don't. Your comment was obviously meant to be some sort of pseudo-argument, what with attacking the ad hominem, that I was supposed to respond to. However, besides that I didn't really see an argument.
AbsolutesMayVary 1 year ago
@AbsolutesMayVary I find it interesting you used the word "psuedo-argument" as it can be rather ambiguous in the sense of having multiple meanings or definitions. However, if it would make my comment any clearer, I would remove the last bit about mothers. Unfortunatly, I can't.
bloopybleepbloop 1 year ago
@AbsolutesMayVary Therfore, I apologise for bringing irrelevance into this disscusion, but I don't believe there is a specific form to use when writting YouTube comments. On that note, I still stand by what I wrote before as you bashing my comment hardly takes away any sustenance.
bloopybleepbloop 1 year ago
@bloopybleepbloop
Well when you take away the logical fallacy you take away the bulk of your argument with it. The rest of your "argument" is just a regurgitation of what I already posted, somehow in an opposing tone. The statement involving a lack of technology and lions is an argument that opposes itself.
AbsolutesMayVary 1 year ago
@AbsolutesMayVary Logical fallacy? You keep saying my comments are weak or irrelevant, yet you have not once given me a valid reason why. From where I stand, my comments make sense. However, you say they don't, I would gladly accept another point or opinion, if you would give a proper reason as to why.
bloopybleepbloop 1 year ago
@AbsolutesMayVary Also, I would like to hear how technoloy and lions contradict eachother. Really dude, without elaboration your comments make you seem obsessed with the YouTube comment or you have the inability to admit someone else may actually have a good point when you yourself disagree.
bloopybleepbloop 1 year ago
@bloopybleepbloop
Lions aren't in the wrong when they kill because they lack the means to kill efficiently. If humanity looses it's technology then we too cannot kill efficiently and humanely. Where does that leave humanity in what might have your argument? I really don't think I read a point, good or otherwise.
AbsolutesMayVary 1 year ago
@AbsolutesMayVary So, I'm thinking you may have misunderstood my original point. Of course lions or any other predator other than humans cannot kill we can. That is why we should, in a sense, take advantage of this and kill, not only efficiently, but also compassionatly. Like you said, if we lose all technology we won't have as many humane options for killing, we would, theoretically, be in the same position as any other beast.
bloopybleepbloop 1 year ago

The answer is, no. There is no reason for starving people, or for anyone, to eat meat or any animals at all. There is a lot of food that is better for you in all ways, and besides, I don't think that the human race is in any way more worth than any animal. Therefore, no, I wouldn't let animals suffer because people are starving. Eat beans for god's sake.

AbsolutesMayVary 1 year ago
@AbsolutesMayVary
Idiot. I was very clear. I didn't even MENTION why people are starving. I said that there's no reason for ALREADY STARVING people to eat meat, they can eat plants. No need for meat, even if you're starving. Now read, and understand. Or stfu because you're a stupid bitch.
Vetauriel88 1 year ago
@Vetauriel88
AbsolutesMayVary 1 year ago
@Vetauriel88 Ah the old "calling names because you can't think of a real argument" bit. An animal isn't going to know the difference between a human eating it and an animal eating it.
sethlocke2012 1 year ago
@sethlocke2012 I have a real argument, if you'd cared to read the rest of what I wrote.
So just because some animals are eaten anyway, it's ok for 6 billion people to cage billions of animals and shoot them? That's like saying that some people are killed by mooses or bears so whatever, we can just go on and kill each other, since some of us are going to die anyway. Yeah, that's what I call a real argument! ....
Vetauriel88 1 year ago
@Vetauriel88 Okay so lets say we don't eat the animals. Then they can get back to helping us advance as a society. O wait, they don't help, all they do is have sex and shit everywhere.
sethlocke2012 1 year ago
@Vetauriel88
AbsolutesMayVary 1 year ago
@Vetauriel88 AGREED!!!! thats what i said and now everyone is replying giving me shi*. far out.
shingle101 1 year ago
@shingle101 Because people are idiots and really don't want to understand what you're saying when you're saying something smart, because that means they'd have to use their BRAINS.
Vetauriel88 1 year ago
@Vetauriel88
AbsolutesMayVary 1 year ago
@AbsolutesMayVary

AbsolutesMayVary 1 year ago
@AbsolutesMayVary Yeah, you're the one who keeps telling me that I'm stupid because you can't bother to read my posts properly, and I'm the one insulting you? Sure thing. I have elaborated a couple of times and I just can't make it any clearer. And yeah, of course there are animals that die of old age.
Apparently you've never been to a pig farm or a slaughter house. Maybe you should visit one and get some perspective.
Vetauriel88 1 year ago
@Vetauriel88 Well i have been to a slaughter house. Whats your point? I raise cattle and i have had them killed so i can eat them. I feed them so they can in turn, feed me. You are aware that humans are designed to be omnivores aren't you?
sethlocke2012 1 year ago
@Vetauriel88
AbsolutesMayVary 1 year ago
@AbsolutesMayVary Wow, you just keep blabbing on.

@Vetauriel88
And you keep avoiding my points instead of actually debating like someone that knows what they're talking about. Keep up the 3rd grade tendencies, it shows how intelligent you are.
AbsolutesMayVary 1 year ago
@AbsolutesMayVary If you'd cared about reading my posts you would've noticed that I've said a couple of times (but you're apparently unable to read so I don't expect you to understand this time either), that I'm not saying that anyone who's starving is rather going to starve than eat vegetables. That's not what this is about, but you keep talking about it. All I was saying is that there's no particular reason for starving people to eat meat.
Vetauriel88 1 year ago
@Vetauriel88
Here's a reason for starving people to eat meat, they're starving. Is that a good enough reason?
AbsolutesMayVary 1 year ago
@AbsolutesMayVary If someone's starving there's an extremely small possibility that they'd just happen to walk into a cow on a field and decide to chop it up for dinner. The more probably reason to why they have meat is that they get it from someone who isn't starving, preferrably some aid organisation like Red Cross or whatever. And in that situation I don't see the need to give them meat. Because they don't need meat. Give them vegetables, fruits, beans or whatever.
Vetauriel88 1 year ago
@AbsolutesMayVary There is just NO NEED for anyone, starving or not, to eat meat. Of course, if you're in the desert starving and the only thing you have to eat is an animal, you will eat it. That's why animals kill eat other for food, because they have to. But if there is a choice, why does the first alternative have to be to kill an animal just because meat tastes good? It doesn't, and it's pathetic to start talking about what "humans are designed" to do and not to do.
Vetauriel88 1 year ago
@AbsolutesMayVary We're "designed" to hunt our food down, but still here we are, going to the closest supermarket to buy it and spend the rest of our time making money or do whatever we like (preferrably with as little excercise as possible, not at all close to what we were originally). So cut the crap and understand what I'm saying. If meat isn't the ONLY option, then it shouldn't be an option at all.
Vetauriel88 1 year ago
@Vetauriel88
AbsolutesMayVary 1 year ago
@AbsolutesMayVary How you made that statement into "you think that people starve because they don't like vegetables" is not my problem. You're obviously just into picking fights with people you don't have to face in real life, and I'm not going to give you the pleasure of playing with me. Have fun.
Vetauriel88 1 year ago
@Vetauriel88
I didn't "pick a fight". You made a statement that only a belligerent prick would make and I told you what I thought about it. Actually, it's kind of the other way around. :[
When you feed grain to an animal and then eat the animal, you've lost energy or "food" in the process. To end world hunger, we should eat the grains directly. (You can also factor in that grains take less time to grow than animals, and preserve longer.)

idontluvu08 3 years ago
Mu priorities are perfectly straight. You're simply trying to find ways to put me down. I would never let a human die, I just wouldn't kill a chicken to feed one. The whole concept of "killing the chickens to save the humans" is completely absurd anyways as there is more than one way to help them both. Causing pain is wrong no matter who or what it is done to; I'm humane enough to understand that.
sweetxrapturedxlight 3 years ago
What are you suggesting? We should go through life never harming or causing pain to anything ever. Are you a Jainist?
krickett87 3 years ago
I didn't say I would kill humans to save chickens. Also, your philosophy is warped. The fact that I can learn to love and cherish something that others look down upon and care not for shows that I am a caring person and means I get along with more people than most. I simply don't have the God complex that other vile people have, and I know that causing pain is wrong.
