The old notes may have looked more like play money but they were the real ones (still backed by and redeemable for gold and/or silver). The fraudulent "federal reserve notes" we are left with now are fake, backed by nothing and unconstitutional. The founding fathers felt so strongly that fiat money like we have now would cause us to lose everything to the banksters that they set the penalty as DEATH for anyone who printed it.
