@Rickvoerman I was half considering getting something like that on my Virago, but it's only a 250 at the end of the day, so might leave it with what it has and sell it. I had a Marauder 125 and put loads of extras on it, but when you sell it, you don't get that money back.
Very much considering a 650 Dragstar next, or a Shadow.
Rick. My name is Neubert Borges, I live in Brazil. I really enjoyed the work you did in the exhaust of your Virago. Would you tell me what measures the tubes used to manufacture this exhaust? If possible, would you tell me details on how you mounted the curve coming out of the rear cylinder of the bike.
YES 5'7 WOULD FIT PERFECT ON THIS BIKE OR ANY OTHER 250. I trained on the Yamaha Virago 250 (now the V-Star 250). It is one of the best motorcycles in the USA right now. Wish I had one. Maybe sometime soon.
Well alot chicks do have this bike... But I just bought a black one for my first bike as a learner knowing that im not that tall...I recon guys can get away with it...
@billsasquach not true the vt 250 spada with a magna flow xci 4 exuast sounds beyond recognition for a 250 but it is also i much more powerful v twin at about 24 to 34 kw.
@Rickvoerman do you feel comfortable on that bike being 183cm? im about 180 myself and was looking at getting a virago but have herd some people say that it can feel a bit cramped unless your a bit shorter than average
bro i was lookin again and i think yours are Yamaha XV250 Virago Laser 2-2 Slash Cut cause the pic i saw of em are JUST like yours, the silvertails look nothin like yours, but the forward set bars are still a mystery to me
hey where can i get the forward set handle bars and exhast for my virago 250? cause i love your exhast and am in love with forward set handle bar, is it that they just dont have stuff in the US?
How is he Virago on fuel economy? Im looking at getting one as a learner bike, and i was wondering if you've had any trouble with it mechanically or otherwise?
i got my mates 250 sR yamaha of him, it was under a tre in his back yard for 3 or 4 years, 10 dollar brake lever, a batter some air in the tyres and 2 rolls of duck tape on the frayed seat a servise and it making a pretty good dirt bike ;)
i'm going to look at one of these for my first bike in a few days. If it sounds like this in the shop i'm buying it. After showing no intrest what so ever to make them lower the price of corse. Its $1875 u.s. right now, but i'll try for something like $1400 or $1500 u.s. Depends on how good I am. I got my car for 1k down form 2k, but the guy i got it from was a dumbass.
it's a straight drag bar put on long risers.
the risers are from highway hawk.

How is he Virago on fuel economy? Im looking at getting one as a learner bike, and i was wondering if you've had any trouble with it mechanically or otherwise?
rambo7764 4 years ago
this virago is mechanically real good..
I left hem outside last night and the temp. was -5, so most bike's will not run or will have a real problem with it.
I turned on the choke and he started with out having problems.
and they are really strong for a 19 kw bike.
I really love my bike hahaha!!
