Nice one im on i5 750 @ 3.2 and 4gb ddr3 1600MHz and ATI 5850 and gonna try out ubuntu tonight if it works good to play wow and cod4 and some Heroes of newerth.
hehe abit not pro but medium had it on laptop for a while and used it for school work. And i like Linux more then windows have always does but always had ATI card and that makes it some problem but now it should be abit better combatility now i hope becouse i dont stand Windows anymore.

well there is a buch of options & efects for the windows
besides the cube,,, change gfx etc..

install " compiz" im using ubuntu 9.10 so
>aplications>ubuntu software center> type compiz in search>install ....
or the old Linux-fu in console
sudo apt-get install compiz
After you installed Compiz , go
system>preferences>Compizconfig manager
Configure and done..
