  • one of those rare games on the Sega Mega Drive that has stereo option :o

  • yea why does she look like blaze from streets of rage?

  • I'm glad someone else noticed that April was basically SoR's Blaze but with a headband!

  • This is stupid at so many levels ¿since when April can fight at the level of the other warriors?. I mean, she was only a reporter

  • Come on, baby! I loved this game. April was awes on it.

  • When I see this I was like ooo, April has changed.

  • April's boobs just bounced when she won! LOL

  • That demon's face in the background is clearly awed by April's move from the yellow jumpsuit to the skanky ho

  • Fake Ass Street Fighter!

  • Like Stupid Raincoat bitch in TNMT on NES says :D.....You have my Support

  • wow...this ain't got nothing on the snes version....

  • april is so badass in this game! ^_^

  • holy sh.... havent seen this in a long whilleeeee

  • I never forgave Konami for this Fucking Game. Compared to the Snes Version....This shit should've just been scrapped. Thankfully they made up with Contra Hard Corps

  • I like that sound April makes when she does that aerial elbow dive move. She's like, "h-h-h-h-h-h-h-hhhhhhooooo!!!"

  • damn i never liked this version of TF...i tried way back but it just didnt do for me. snes version was THE best..cool flashback here tho

  • @demonkai76

this version was okay, but i thought it had good music compositions. the SNES version is the best, but avoid the NES version, its fucking terrible.

  • @Tiamat583

lol yeh i tried the nes versin out years ago and yes i co sign on it being horrible also smh

  • Now that's just pathetic. How could Konami do THIS?!! - -°

Okay, so I'll explain why April is portraited like this: Because it's NOT April!

This hot ninja girl you see here is called Asuka (misspelled "Aska" in the SNES version). Konami created her just to add a female char (and some fanservice) to the game. And for some not explained reason, they thought it was a good idea to just give her the name of an official character.

And as I see by the comments posted her, nobody noticed it. ^^°

  • @RokuroCarisu Asuka from the SNES and April from the Genesis exist in different universes. This is April as she was potrayed in the Mirage Comic book. She eventually learned Ninjutsu from Splinter (this was also shown in the 2003 series). The reason why Asuka is in the SNES version is because April appears as she was potrayed in the 1987 series (as a reporter/damsel in distress) and Asuka and Karai are the two ass-kicking females.

  • @BASTARDUS1MAXIMUS I know the new (or better old) concept for April and I got to say I like it a lot better than the stupid reporter (though she was kinda cute ^^).

But still, the April in this game looks nothing like any of her three versions. The only character I know that resembles her is Asuka.

  • What systems was this for?

  • Well, that answers the question "Could Blaze Fielding beat up the Ninja Turtles". Not that anyone asked, but...

  • Rather ironically, the best playable character in the game without question.

And though it was hardly used in this video, her sliding kick attack was really good too.

  • The Opening of this game creeped me out as a kid

  • April sounds like an 80's slut with clothes to match

  • haha i didnt know what a fighting game really was back then and like i always stressed out why i couldnt go over there and beat that giant monster up haha

  • That background is scary as fuck. I remember it from way back when. D: Holy shit.

  • XD Come on baby! LOL! April kicks butt in this game!

  • Shellshock....

  • at 0:14 sounds like when you push fastforward on a porn movie LOL

  • Seriously though, when has April o Neal EVER been a Hottie with big boobies?

  • she looks like blaze from streets of rage

  • 'Come on Baby!'

LOL! Oh man, I still have this game and my Genesis too! I never stopped playing this when I was a kid. At first, I had trouble learning April's moves, but eventually she became easy to learn.

  • april o neal got fighting skills?

    come on...

    what is this?

  • i used to love this game as a child, now I cant even play it for more than 2 mins as it bores me to death.

  • I used to think that this version was better, but now that's it been 10 years since i've played it,I have to say that the SNES is way better

  • april looks like whats her name from streets of rage

  • you mean Blaze?

  • yeah her. i think thats what her name was.

  • @iluvheartless blaze xD

  • And she took that taunt ("cmon baby) from king XD (art of fighting, kof, etc)

  • Wow, check out april's awesome sonic speed bitch slaps at :51. Now that's some straight up karate prowess

  • hmm...the megadrive version had no supermoves? :s

  • Strange how this game got away with Aprils' breasts jiggling but not the Snes one with Aska. Intresting...

  • I never notised that till now, and I've played the game for a long time. I guess it wasnt notised enough

  • this game looks cooler then the snes one and the music doesnt sound so dull as in the snes one only this one is undoble aggainst the cpu.

  • I disagree with that statement the one on SNES is alot better than this and it has better characters

  • to each its own, maybe your right.this could have been much more.

  • The Genesis version didn't only have worse music/levels/graphics/chracters what killed this game was that you only have one kick and one punch and the third button is a taunt. I still enjoy it but the SNES version offers more depth.

  • You cant really notice them jiggling, ya know

  • Probably because Nintendo was a lot morw strict than Sega. Like how all the blood was removed from the SNES version of Mortal Kombat. And if you want to see how anal Nintendo could really be, do some reading on the NES port of Maniac Mansion.

  • nintendo was strict on things like gore and the like thats why snes mortal kombat didn't have blood but the sega version had the blood code sega could do those things nintendo of america just wouldn't do it

  • "Come on baby?!" Is that the best they could come up with?

  • Im Tring TO Find the INTRO to this game does anyone know how i can find it

  • Dang! If April could fight like that in the old show, she wouldn't have gotten kidnapped every other episode! "C'MON, BABY!"

  • Aska from the SNES or April from the genesis. Who do you like better? Aska or April?

For me I like April more...

  • April all the way.

  • I even remember her win quote "Oh yes!" in such a seductive voice. I have this game. I remember when I first bought it, and I was surprised at the way she was dressed, and I liked it. And I was 7 then!

  • Apirl looked well hot in that skimpy outfit. I mean, imagine if she wore that in the cartoon, damn, slap an 18 rating on that lol

  • this version of the game was mad weak

  • COME ON BABY! LOL!

  • April= hax on this game

  • How did Ape learn to fight? O_o!

  • my guess is the turtles and splinter

  • The genesis version whated there sound to be like an arcade, but yeah the sound doesn't make the game. It's the gameplay.

  • April's voice is horrible in this game.

  • Her voice is sure horrible.

  • Well duh it is the Genesis Its not bad COME ON BABY!!. lol

  • i got this game!

  • Konami had some problems with Sega back then.

  • Really I could not tell They made some freaking sweet games for the Genesis like Castlevainia and Contra.

  • Konami in the 16-bit era was more or less the gods of ripoffs. SNK couldn't hold a candle to Konami's ripoff style.

  • Wonderful to see a female ninja in TMNT again.

  • Well except April does not have that cool Chi Energy blast or what ever its called LMAO *Come On Baby*.

  • Dont know if you remember it but this game reminded me of that super hero beet em up for the sega megadrive,it was great. It had everyone in it!

  • Wow Aprill Looks like the SNES Female fight Aska from the SNES Version plus her outfit remindes me of Blaze from Streets Of Rage thanks for the video

  • the sega verison was stupid the snes was better
