  • Are you still giving out free DVDs of B&R?

  • @poke123231 Hi there Poke123231. I'm a little busy for that at the moment but sometime soon I will.

  • G'day, mate. Animation work is as fantastic as always. The voices are kinda weird, though -- having become used to all the previous work with just the guitar accompaniment. (I still have that original DVD you sent me, eh?) I don't know how you'd tell a story like this without voices, although I'm sure you could. You know, thought bubbles, expressions, yada yada yada.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing the result. It'll be different, that's fer sure. Eh?

  • @MartySchrader I may have mentioned in another comment but I can't see it. B&R always spoke but when I started making the films I didn't have the facility to record dialogue so it didn't happen.

I am sure that there is a way to make the film without them speaking but there's no way anyone will give me any money to do it that way : )

  • Thumbs waaay up!! I like it!

  • @jmadtoyou Thanks : )

  • Good job on the video :)

The voices really make a lot of difference. On the one hand, they allow for a more complex story line. On the other hand, you might still try not to have them speak too much. Silences can sometimes be more expressive than speech.

Anyway, I wish you the best of luck figuring this one out! Maybe it's just me. I kind of miss some aspects from the earlier (mute) videos, that's all.

  • @kayman93 G'day Kayman. I'm glad you like it. One of my pet hates is talky talky animation. For the most part B&R only speak when necessary, I think.

Feel free to spread the link around : )

  • i love the video but giving box head and round head a voice i dont agree with. i hope u win though!

    Ryan

  • @tribekiller88 You don't agree huh? Why's that?

  • @Elliotanimated having watched boxhead and roundhead since you started putting them on youtube, i feel like ive grown to know the two characters and develop my own voices for each even though they have never spoken similar to reading a book. but then once a book becomes a movie the voices are made for you. I enjoyed how in past shorts you were able to figure out the personalities and emotions of the characters based on their actions and an awesome sound track. thats just my take. good luck!

  • @tribekiller88 Thanks for the support Tribekiller and for taking the time to write : )
