@MegaElectric1000 its true, you can either spin all the way thru, or simply plant the kicking leg a couple of feet in front of you and then turn back the way you came. however, if anyone throws the kick hard, to do real damage, the momentum of the kick will be enough to spin him all the way thru. if he were to plant after a hard thrown kick, the half second it take to recover by going back the way you came will often result in receiving an overhand right. just my perspective. -soul horse
thank you so much for that, i've taken some brutal bruises and unnecessary pain to my legs recently trying to check kicks from guys with better conditioned legs. Much appreciated, i'll definitely be checking back to see what else you got
Glad you enjoyed it, brother. Use the "check" as a last resort. If you are strictly Thai Boxing, go for the ankle sweep as a primary attack...you can also "counter" the power leg kick with a quick left leg/front "teep", as it should be faster than his leg kick. Keep up the hard training, bro.
dude awesome, I'm learning Muay Thia and when sparing I had no defense against the infamous Thai kick. thanks so much, I've subscribed and please make more vids.
