  • What are you stupid or what?

    What did I tell you?

You're gonna get us all fuckin' pinched...

  • Here's to all who discovered great music like Ronnie & The Ronettes in the dark of night on now forgotten 50,000 watt clear channel AM medium wave music stations. aka RADIO in the "American Night" ... the real meaning of "Texas Radio and the Big Beat." -- "Now listen to this, I'll tell you 'bout the heartache.

I'll tell you 'bout the heartache and the loss of God.

I'll tell you 'bout the hopeless night

The meager food for souls forgot

I'll tell you 'bout the maiden with wrought iron soul."

  • lol this argument is patheitc, yet funny, people just can't debate properly anymore...

  • thumbs up if you liked the Ronettes without any thought about "Goodfellas," you love Christmas, you know the words of this song...but yet you've seen Goodfellas like 10 times. awesome stuff.

  • Love the Ronettes . Can you believe they toured with the Stones . Jagger is no dummy . Touring with beautiful women . Duh

  • lol

  • the christmas spirit =)

  • x-mas again

  • made famous by Goodfellas.

  • @cyberskin1 uhh no. Was famous before that movie

  • @evilcartman32 I meant - Goodfellas boosted its profile.

  • @cyberskin1 Goodfellas boosted it only during the Youtube era...otherwise, it was forgetful as part of the Soundtrack. but the song was always famous

  • @Rao665 You tube?? there was millions of fans of Goodfellas before You Tube, and they would have been made more aware of the song through video, dvd, cinema etc.

  • @cyberskin1 LoL! That's like hearing some teenager say 'Paul McCartney used to be in a band!" or "Paul McCartney was in a band before Wings?" But then, even the kids who used to say that are in their 30s now. ha ha ha

  • I haven't got a clue what your on about you patronising idiot.

  • @cyberskin1 Goodfellas? there were millions of fans of the Ronettes before Goodfellas. and as for Satyagrahaha, he's trying to say it never boosted the song's profile, It's always been a classic. and again, it was a small portion of the movie's soundtrack. only during the YOUTUBE era, can we go back to certain songs and say "i remember that in so and so scene. I've been using the internet for a while, it's only recently we've been able to do this. we sure didn't do it earlier

  • @cyberskin1 - Sorry it has to be explained it to you. Guess you're even too young to remember Wings. In response to your trolling "idiot" reply, here's some good free advice you trolled up: Next time a huckster tries to sell you a "real autograph" of Jimi Hendrix or Jim Morrison on a DVD or CD, don't believe them. It's not real.

  • AH ! The Wall of Sound ! Phil Spector 1963. GENIUS !

  • Can't believe it. Christmas 2011

    and then 2012! Time flies!

  • "Imma go get the papers, get the papers."

  • I'll quote Jimmt the gent "what the fuck a matter with you....are you bein a wise guy with me?".......classic

  • Just love anything by the Ronnettes or Crystals, the Chrismas album of 1963 was a classic. Sonny and Cher were back up singers for Phil Spector at that time and you can clearly here Sonny's voice in the chorus here. Just as yo can hear Cher in the chorus of the Crystals Da Doo Ron Ron.

  • Genuis.

  • its a jolly happy snow not a happy jolly snow

  • "ITS UNDER MY MOTHERS NAME JIMMY" I DONT CARE WHOS NAME IS UNDER" CLASSIC MEMORIES

  • One of the few Christmas songs with a rock beat that still keeps the theme of Christmas--merry Christmas all

  • First heard this in my friend Mike's car radio in 1980! Wow!

There are three Christmas albums that everyone should have in their collection: Phil Spector's Christmas Album (1963); the soundtrack to "A Charlie Brown Christmas" (1965); and the Beatles Christmas Album (1970--which I hope will be commerically released one day soon).

I'm sure there are other great Christmas records, but those are in my top three.

  • Best version of this song I have ever heard. The Ronettes own this song. :D

  • wat am i a fukin clown.im here to amuse u. no i dont get it. how am i so fukin funny

  • this song is 'not' great just because it was in GOODFELLAS (i love the movie, dont get me wrong by the way ! ) but because MS. RONNIE SPECTOR 'owns' this song ! an INCREDIBLE talent,Phil Spector and the greatest era in rock and roll history ! Brad Savage --Lifelong fan.
