What were your numbers with just 6 psi? I'm curious because my brother is running 8psi in his 04. He's only had his dynoed on an old unreliable mustang dyno at a local car show and they said he had 380 to the rear wheels but like i said we think the numbers from that dyno are unreliable. not sure he is pushin that kind of hp untuned but who knows.
I was putting down 385/405 on a dynojet registering 6psi on a good 93 octane tune. 380rwhp on a mustang dyno only @ 8psi is a really good number IMO. It might have been a happy dyno. He definitely wouldn't be pushing that much power if he isn't tuned right.
Once I save up the money, Its getting an aurburn 31 spline diff and 31 spline forged axles. I don't want the stock stuff to break during hard launches on sticky tires.
must people say its safe to 450 but i wouldnt risk any more then 425 in my rear end. if you got the cash to build the motor to 425 hp you should invest in the rear end last thing you need is to hit a hard launch and everything to jump forward but your rear
Yeah, its pushing 421rwhp right now with a super safe tune @ 9psi thanks to a built motor and custom cams. I won't be upping the boost til I can afford to build the rear end. I don't want to spit gears all over the street.
Nice, i got a 00 Firebird formula with completely stock motor, Vortech supercharger @ 6psi and putting down 450. ran a 13.0 at bandimere (5,800 feet above sea level) on street tires with a 2.2 sixty foot
Sorry to the person whos comment I just deleted. I tried to hit reply but accidentally hit remove instead. Anyways, on this vid, it was putting down 361/353, but it then later put down 383/405 and then over 400 with a better tune. The stang now has a built motor and should be seeing much more boost in the near future, so expect some new #s soon.
During tuning, my 255LPH fuel pump maxed out at 5K rpms too. I'll be getting a KB boost a pump soon which will deliver 20% more fuel....much easier than changing fuel pumps again. And again, Killer Stang bro!
Thanks. I think I'll be heading for a BAP here very soon too, unless I can get my hands on a cobra tank. Everyone claims a 255lph will support about 500rwhp, but the fuel press starts to drop around 5k. And now that I'm gonna be upping the boost and got a built bottom end the single aviator isn't gonna be enough.
That was my exhaust. The Borla pops a little sometimes. Kinda like if you let the engine slow you down and there's that crackle. That one was really loud and was accentuated because the dyno was indoors.
is it or the mustang sounds like it has a supercharger?

Do you have stock internals?

@punjab2069 will a bone stock motor handle 386 hp to the wheels for a daily driver? Or did you do some engine mods to handle the procharger?

Nice time for street tires! Get yourself a set of sticky drag radials and you'll be deep into the 12's :)

do you have a stock midpipe? that thing sounds wayy meaner than mine. or is that just the sound mixture of the intake and procharger?
2003slvrgt 4 years ago
Its got the stock midpipe with the back two cats removed. The previous owner had it done...I'll be swapping it out soon for an O/R X.
punjab2069 4 years ago
Hey what was the total after all the mods?
doug90127 4 years ago
@6 psi It was putting down 361hp and 353tq to the wheels. I'm running about 9-10 psi now but I'm still in need of some tuning.
punjab2069 4 years ago
Its putting down 383hp 405tq, but its running out of fuel at 5,000. When all the tuning is done it should put down around 425-430hp
punjab2069 4 years ago
Aren't you safe pushing up to around 500 rwhp with a stock bottom end on these?
jlmorris 4 years ago
500rwhp on a stock bottem end is risky, i'd say it's safe up to 400-420 rwhp
