  • You don't get it.The USA leads the world. We are in space.Yet the national grade average is the 8th ? WHY??? Because we are to be kept uneducated. Our rulers, corporate America wants drones.

  • I am learning to be carefull with my judgements. There are powerful special interests on both sides of the argument.

  • Is there any chance to buy a DVD of this movie and ship it to Germany?

  • I'm going to see that tonight.

  • Keep in mind every thug you see behind bars, every psychopath in a mental institution, and every leach on welfare was in a public school classroom at one point and teachers like myself had to deal with them and truth being we spend most of our time dealing with the thugs and psychopaths who don't care because we cannot "leave them behind". Most teachers I know do the best they can and most go into the profession thinking they will change the world and make a difference.

  • @crackertroy Well, those cretins should have been thrown out of school so you could do your job. I don't have a problem with good teachers. Those on the front lines. I have a problem with the administrators and the bureaucrats.

  • @crackertroy I think it's heartless and unfair to call every person on welfare a leach. People can fall on hard times, housewives have husbands who die or get severely injured. People lose their jobs, especially in this economy. Welfare is put in place to help people get back on their feet when the storms of life hit, any one of us could be in the situation of some of the families that have to depend on that program to help them in hard times.

  • Check out John Tylor Gatto, the public schools aren't failing. Their doing exactly what there desighned to do,its not eduecation its indoctrination & they don't want to make you smarter they want to dumb you down!

  • Screw these unions I have to put up with so much of their shit in school. get a life ya fukin bums.

  • just because the government is corrupt does not make it communist. Do some research before you speak people. Our president is not a socialist or communist.

  • @try2openyoureyes - You need to do a little research. It is not that hard. He was mentored by and is surrounded by them. Joel Rodgers, New Party, Van JOnes, Valerie Jarret etc and on and on...Ayers, Wright , Marshall and on and on...

  • The corruption is with the administrators and the local politicians, And as far as blaming the teachers for everything, that's a good way of exonerating a whole generation of parents who let television raise their children.

  • Statistically speaking, kids are at MUCH greater risk of being molested by a teacher or other public school employee than by a priest or minister.

Public schools need to be GREATLY reformed in several different areas.

  • Biggest problem with public schools is the parents who send their unprepared, undisciplined, and just plain dumb kids to teachers who have to handle 25 rowdy, screaming brats for 7-8 hours. Teach your kids to sit still, pay attention, and respect their elders or don't send your kids to school at all. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Keep your kids at home until they learn to behave. If a parent hasn't taught the kid the value of education then the kid doesn't belong in school.

  • The biggest threat to our government is well educated, independent people..so we put the government in charge of our schools. Stop the insanity. Get government and unions 100% out of education. Go to your school board meetings. Run for school board. Take back our country.

  • @ginker49 yeah except for the fact that the people are suppose to be in charge of the government, ya know it's called a democracy, so the real problem is not the government it is the people...

  • @try2openyoureyes - We are a constitutional republic, not a democracy Mr Progressive. The government monopoly on the education system is destroying us.

  • @ginker49 With all due respect, thinking that the gov intentionally makes kids stupid so they can control them is Stupid. The teachers unions are the biggest problem as they have become counterproductive to the students education, while securing tenured teachers jobs. If any blame is to be put on the gov its the lack of qualified local officials who lack the needed negotiating skills when it comes to dealing with the unions. Once lucrative salaries are agreed on, its Very difficult to undo.

  • Well, no wonder this can happen when you put socialists in charge.

  • prgressives always use children to further their communistic propaganda. Yet they are for abortion and ridicule kids like Sarah Palin's son Trig. They care nothing for you kids or you.

  • Our education system is no different from a Communist country.

This state-sponsored cartel must be busted!

  • @Max20854 Excellent post useless Unions and NEA are as corrupt as the mob.

  • We have turned into a communist country, most of us just don't see it. It's sad when the government can tell you what kind of toilet you can put in your house. The Founding Fathers would not believe what we have today for a government.

  • at the high school I went to over a decade ago we had a teacher who would routinely abuse the students as well. As far as I knew he was never fired. Everyone knew. You could hear him screaming at a kid 40 meters away in a closed class room.

  • This documentary needs to be on youtube to reach the widest possible audience

  • when more people see this movie, especially the teacher/administrators unions. a lot of people are going to be pissed off that these things arer being exposed. the REAL reason everyone is getting bashed over the head with property taxes. like the guy in the trailer said, " there is a lot of money involved"

  • when is the movie coming out? It needs to be shown in theaters. The NJ school system, if not in many other states, needs to be reformed. Im an aspiring music teacher and Im learning through the ropes that these administrators and superintendents are just power/money hungry monsters and need to be stopped, especially in the regional school districts and of course the urban areas. Bravo for making a film like this!

  • @1337evan I AGREE! my entire family teaches in NJ.. The NJEA has gone from being helpful to becoming an Abusive use of power.. HUGE education reform and union regulation is long overdue.

  • I love it when the guy at 2:00, ask "for twelve years, what did you do with that child? And then steps up and ask What did you do with the money!!!

  • This looks very good, I cant wait to see it.

  • Nice video. Why not show numerous excerpts from the whole movie on youtube?
