well no, what you find in SLe are inmunocomplexes. IgA nephropathy is more likely related t ohepatic damage or aa heredirary mutation of the HLA family of genes wich ''regulate'' (to say somethin') the function of the T limphocytes wiche regulate B lymphocites which become plasma cells wich secrete inmunoglobulins. so the mutation causes an excesive secretion of IgA and further Renal (glomerular) deposit
This is great! Thank you! Sheila Shaw lives with Lupus, which knocked out her kidney function. She teaches all about taking control of your life despite living with chronic illness. I have talked with so many Lupus patients who all claim that their Lupus flared out at the most stressful point in their lives. This was Sheila's case as well. In my personal studies, it seems to be that keeping stress to a minimum would help with preventing it....Thank you for this video!
Thank you for posting this video. I had a kidney biopsy done a few years ago and this helped me "see" what the doctors explained to me. I was diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis following the biopsy.
studying for boards and had 3 different nephritic/nephrotic LM images on my NBME practice test. This was very helpful, thanks a bunch!
