So I'm assuming that the suspension from the #20 video can work with different sizes? SInce this buggy the wheel base is smaller. Thanks for that tutorial though I've only had gmod for a few days but its made it so much easier to build stuff (learning the tools)
WOW I never knew there was a secret search menu....I wonder why they didnt add that to the group list. They have abunch of flowers and trees..everything. Thats sooo weird I never knew that but thanks a lot. Now I can finally make a body
check my suspensions systems tutorial and my active suspension buggy vid to see what I mean. Camber angle means the bottoms of the wheels lean out further the the tops, so you're at a slight angle, pointing the wheels up and in...wikipedia it. It makes handling around curves MUCH easier.
@GunskiMod ah ok. Well, I mean I tend to prefer performance over simplicity in most things, my suspensions are more designed for heavy duty so things like camber angle are a little more important for me, notice I build nothing but tanks, trucks, heavy equipment...etc....
Nice work! I love it. You ever consider making steel or hydraulic suspensions? I've been using steel torsion bars for aw hile on RWD vehicles, seems to work very well inconjunction with elastics. Also, put up a tutorial please on camber angles. I'm having difficulty.
You know how if you weld a lot of props together, 3 or more, they tend to flex? Principle of a torsion bar. take a prop and use it as an arm. Weld onto it a small prop like a magnet wheel from phx transport props. make the weight of the mag wheel like 200. then, axis the arm onto the main body, and weld the magnet to the main body. That way the direct welding is BODY->MAGNET WHEEL (torsion bar itself)->ARM. It'll work just like elastic.
I'm not sure if I have enough skill to make a good chassis. :/

you can undo parent by magntetizing parented props (works only if parented to a wire chip)

I already knew how to make that. It just takes more time.

AWESOME WORK!

Can you tell me more about the torsion bars? I don't know how you would use that in Gmod.
And camber angles...do you want the wheels to lean in the same direction, or opposite?
