  • If just talking about drilling can lower the price who is in control of the cost per barrel?  Sounds like price fixing to me.

  • For the most part as you know the per barrel price of oil is determined by supply and demand. However the Oil producing countries have jumped the price along with stock market speculators. Since Bush announced lifting the ban of off shore drilling, oil prices have gone down. However weather in the Gulf of Mexico is now affecting this price. Hope this helps you understand. But I am not the supreme expert on this.
