For the record, I get the whole "Our product has attitude," I grew up in the era of Sonic the Hedgehog and Crash Bandicoot, that doesn't change the fact that killing a cat is a mentally challenged way of showing it.

@NoXion100 Well yeah, animal cruelty is like one of the very limited number of things I give a fuck about, and this is also violence for violence's sake to boot (Which is one of my pet peeves). But I have nothing against it being depicted in fiction, so long as it's done tastefully (Which I'll grant the commercial at least got that down), and serves some greater purpose to the fiction in question. All THIS does is associate the product with murdering cats.

Basically, no. No it is not real. If anything the UK's rules and regulations are far more strict than the US when it comes to animal welfare. It's not a real cat, just like it really looks like Will Smith flies a space ship in Independence Day, he genuinely isn't. Computer graphics really are rather snazzy, and have been since the mid 80's, allowing rather lifelike animations... who knew?
