This is not Japan, it's Hong Kong. They start to decorate every mall in HK in Novemeber. It's not all Hello Kitty but they have different theme. It's such much better to celebrate Christmas in HK than in Canada. The lights there cannot be compared here...just going back to HK in Christmas is soooo expensive!!! I would totally suggest anyone to go if you can.
