@bsdguy How bad is the clear coat? If its peeling there is a slight chance the clay bar peels off more. But as long as you keep the clay well lubricated it might help the clear coat. Worst case try a small spot on the car.
Damn... those rock chips. I thought mine were bad. Maybe it's because it's a black car. But the clay bar kit is awesome. I'm currently using the Meguiar's kit, but I want to try the Mother's kit next. Have you by chance used 3M Performance Finish wax? Follow up with that after the clay bar... like BUTTAH.
Hey nice. Video I just learned how to claybar but what kind of polish did u use and how do u apply it and how do u wipe IP off. And by the way u not the only one with rockchips I have em on my 370z I guess dats something dat we have to live with..

@bsdguy 25 plus year old paint, I'd say get it painted if plan on keeping it a while. If not, give the clay a try first it's much cheaper.

@josehartford I wiped it off by hand. The polish was Mequiars as well. And I believe I applied it by hand as well.
