  • Someone once said that The Wanderer melody came from the song Kansas City, which I believe came out in 1959, however, that theory is blown out of the water being that The Wanderer pre-dates Kansas City by approx. two years.

  • @MrRJDB1969 The true original "Kansas City" (a/k/a "KC Lovin'") by Little Willie Littlefield was released in 1952. Both the riff and lyric content seem to bear the theory, actually...check it out if you haven't already

  • @adachong1 Released by Dion after he left the Belmonts, actually...the backing on that, as well as most of his solo hits, was the Del-Satins, a fine group in their own right, some of who eventually joined Johnny Maestro & The Brooklyn Bridge...Ernie wrote this one, as well as many other classics
