I remember when 2Pac was killed. I remember when he was shot and the days he remained in hospital until he died. I was stunned to see the camera footage of what 2Pac and his crew did to the gang member before he was shot. I was like WTF!!! I thought 2Pac was the biggest fool to attack a REAL gang member (Crip).
When B.I.G was killed just 6 months later I WAS IN SHOCK! One moment you have 2 top artist and in an instant they're both wiped off.
he dosn't deserve to be no. 1 he was a has been before he died, people only started listening to him again when he died, kurt cobain and john lennon died at the peak of they're career one of them should be no. 1, michael jackson molested inoccent children that was the most talked about moment in his career since thriller, if there is a hell... then he's in it.
you guys should check out my music, just a 16 year old kid trying to fufill his dream to be a true hip hop mc and i can't do that without any exposure so please I ask of you to check out my music. You won't be disappointed.
@hrdygrl91 he was, it was nov 30th, 1994, then of course the fatal shooting two years later on sept 7th, 1996 and his passing from said shooting on sept 13th, 1996. i dont know why vh1 try to even pretend like they know about music anymore. shits ridiculous, mtv too. gtfo
@fumetti your probably a ignorant white guy, a beatles etc fan, who has no knowledge of who tupac was, and what hip hop is. Instead of making inappropriate comments why not go and do your daytime job. Tupac, like the beatles, elvis, MJ, was an artist. He was portrayed as a ganger by the media, as are other rappers, idiots like you who think are clever are easily fooled.
@donyasserdon no, I am a white guy who likes real music and not the chanted musings of a con man who beat and abused women and called them "bitch" to sampled beats of far more talented artists. If Tupac was an artist, Jerry Sandusky should be role model of the year.
@fumetti You sound like a igonorant moron trolling on a video, tell me why the hell are you on a pac video if you can't appreciate the guy? He ahieved more than you. stop being so stereo typical white ass punk
@fumetti Hey, I like "real" music too, but the problem is that "real" is a subjective term. You like one thing, I don't, does it even matter? "Chanted musings" ironically is probably the African origin of music, I'm sure 'Pac would have taken that as compliment! If you take anything from this comment take this; break down those schemata and stereotypes in your head. Seek knowledge of other cultures and music, and hey, who knows, maybe you'll hear something you like. Peace.
@roller325 Excuse me, I love Motown, Chuck Berry, James Brown, O'Jays. Philly soul, Ray Charles, Aretha, Stax Volt...I love black music. THIS is shit.
@fumetti I never specified black music, nor white music. The issue here is with your inability to accept Hip-Hop as a valid musical genre. Which is fine it's your opinion. All I'm saying is have you tried listening to it objectively? Seriously, listen to Akala "Find No Enemy"; Lowkey "Obama Nation (Pt. 1); 2Pac "Changes". If after listening to them 3 songs and you find not ONE morsel of intelligence in this genre then leave it be. But don't slander us for enjoying it! Peace out! :)
@donyasserdon LOL! Beatles fans are "ignorant"? Tupac was an artist...the only thing is, Elvis, James Brown, the Beatles, Chuck Berry were Picasso and Leonardo...Tupac finger painted. LOL
' he shuld at least be #2 ! Michael Jackson wil always be #1 becuz he's the King Of Pop & truthfully hes more popular than all these young rappers & everybody out here . But tupac was good thoe :)
@donyasserdon nah not really.. john lennon, michael jackson, kurt cobain? these people have had a much greater impact on music.. but in hip hop? pac is 1 without a doubt
@1992geg the hip hop game actually died when he died, plus the way it happened was tragic... drive by to a celbrity, you dont hear that everyday, thats quite sad

How is the shooting of a rapper "shocking"? It is expected and usually cheered on.
