@TheRogueMonk Koryu, literally translated, means old school. As McCarthy has stated above, Koryu Uchinadi is a synthesis of very traditional old school martial arts practiced on Okinawa before commercialism and outside influences took Karate down another path.
koruy must be one of the most ocmplete martial arts i have ever seen
it has elements of aikido , karate , bujinkan... all of this is in this, amazing. If i would make use of aikido entries to make blows atemis.. this would what it would look like , almost exactly
Wrong! Based upon the five fighting arts originally practiced during Okinawa's old Ryukyu Kingdom [see the original_five_fighting_arts page on our website for more detailed information], Koryu Uchinadi Kenpo-jutsu represents a modern interpretation of old practices...classical tradition --- contemporary insights.
Stretching and Oblique crunches are a must for developing the proper ability to hold the leg up like that for long periods of time. Working on the glutes may help as well.
what is koruy? is it like a combination of many old japanese marital arts?
is it like a compilation of kobudo?

I thought that Koryu Uchinadi learns just old way of kicking. Just under belt, like in old karate days (tote jutsu)?
