When I first saw Master Wong I thought he was a bit comical because he sounds a bit funny when he talks, but seeing the first minute and a half of this video with all the moves showed a full pace and intensity he's totally out of this world!!!
All the old school masters teach their students with pain exercises. By allowing the students to feel just a small amount of the pain that can be inflicted with these moves, allows the student to undergo self control and when it comes time to use it...they know not to cross the boundry.
I'm a big fan of Master Wong's stuff, I really am....But this is clearly a no. I don't blame him for wanting to stretch out his range, but his misrepresentation of leverage and body weight seems out of character. And that spinning around the leg was uncomfortable to watch, much less do. Still have the love, but this was unpleasant.
I just want to say Thank you for being one of the few of us that understands what CQC is and Realism Fighting. Dojo is Dojo Street is Street two different things. You ever learned Baji Quan? Whats is your opinion in it? Yes I am a CQC fighter and I agree allot with what you preach.
@BlasRonin BajiQuan is designed for Killing, rarely taught and mostly taught in Taiwanese police, KMT SWAT and president's body guards.
word has it, that Bajiquan is the most brutal Kung Fu style out there, very hard to learn and very hard to master properly without killing your sparring partner unless he was also doing the form with you.
its Jeet Kune Do. the thing is that JKD is a combination of martial arts. Its not one style. its EVERY SINGLE STYLE.
No one EVER questioned WHY Bruce Lee says that "jeet kune do is like water" "if you put water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot" "water can flow, or it can crash"
That does mean, that JKD is not a fighting style, is a combination of almost all. No matter what martial art is about your oponent. You'll know how to defeat him.

those are some crazy takedowns. Judo/Aikido/Hapkido has some of the takedowns from the ground but no one ever seems to use them.

i'm sure he's one of his favorite students....i wouldn't worry about him getting hurt as I'm sure he's tough enough to take some demonstration hits.

I agree! Long ground fighting is just for sport. In-and-out and total quick destruction is the only logical thing to do in reality. Thanks MW!
