This game is so awesome. I still remember the game has randomly generating maps with randon weapon and enemy spawns. Also the weapons had a color system indicating the strenght. My first taste of RPG as a kid.
Amazing game on a completely shitty system. The Aquarius was actually designed by Radofin not Matell and had a fixed set of graphics in ROM. All games had to use the same set of tiles because they could not be changed and it was not possible to add more.
Yeah, this game amazes me. I was really hooked on it back when I was a kid. Honestly, I can still find myself sinking a couple hours into it, on occasion.
This game is quite a feat on the Aquarius: Creative graphics (for the maze, monsters, and items), use of primitive dithering for better depth coloring, a real achievable ending, different mazes/play experience ever time you play, varying difficulty (the hard is REALLY hard), 3D!, etc.
this game was wayyyyyyy ahead of its time. I remember this game when my brothers friend had this game on Aquarius, and he had so many games for this computer. he played this a lot, and burger time, his older brother played burger time and this game like crazy. sighs I was only 4 years old then, thats when I fell in love with the gaming.
It's AMAZING how well I remember this game after not seeing it for 20+ years. I know I'm old when I can be riveted watching a 10 minute video on Utube of somebody else playing a video game, and even get nervous when the yellow spider shows up.

@Atomicskull
The special graphics characters and much of the accessories were designed by Mattel. The core Aquarius and AQ2 hardware was designed by Radofin.

I have not seen this for about 25 years. I used to to play it when I was 8 or 9. I loved this game.

I agree sinistermoon, I love Treasure Of Tarmin and this looks very similar. Hope it has the Alligators too!

Dude, Blizzard totally ripped Mattel off with the Diablo series.

I always wished there were a remake, even if it were done under a different name.
