  • 大好きなゲームのキャラクターがクロノを助けてくれる

    ほんと感動した

  • Great medley and a beautiful ending ^^

  • this was so damn touching <3

  • Kinda wanna know why game developers have moved away from amazing goddamn music to get their point across--with a few notable exceptions.

  • 涙腺崩壊・・・

  • Why the hell did they put the name of the games on the bottom, we all know what they are!

  • ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) Y U NO SUPER MARIO RPG

  • You wanna know why the characters used were Chrono Trigger characters? Easy! It's because Chrono Trigger was the best mainstream SNES game!

  • The nostalgia from all of this, coupled with the sheer amount of effort that went into making it (both the music and the videos) was so intense that I came and started farting.

  • 感動しました!

    クロノが生き返ってホント良かった!

    マッシュとカエルはぜひ一緒に使ってみたい!! 笑

  • THIS, WAS, THE BEST TRIBUTE YOU COULD DO FOR SNES. Seriously man.. Thank you

  • Why couldn't have I been alive during THOSE TIMES?! Why couldn't I have THOSE GAMES when I'm a kid?! God damn it, I was born to f***ing early!! Instead I have to grow up with mediocre, unoriginal, non-nostalgic "games"! Why does everyone at my school love these and say that these games are pieces of s***?! WHY?! >:'(

  • @themangOMEGA Wow, I meant to say "Born too f***ing late". FAIL

  • Game never over :')

  • I missed out on these games in my childhood so I've only experienced them just recently... It makes me sad that I still haven't finished some of them ;_;

Final Fantasy VI, Earthbound, Legend of Mana and Chrono Trigger: I am going to complete these games as if it's the last thing I'll ever do!

  • Ah, those were the good old days. We'll never forget you, Mother 2!

  • This video pulls on my heartstrings so hard.

  • A love letter to, arguably, gamings greatest generation. This is the most beautiful thing i've seen in a while, and 20 minutes of my life very well spent.

  • ....and dorky tears were cried

  • @GuiltyJester1 I'm actually pretty relieved that I'm not the only one. And thay're manly dork tears. ;-;

  • @glenny126

Someone once said "Every generation is the worst generation". Although Halo and Gears Of War may be bonafied pieces of crap, a select few of toady's games can be just as memorable and well made as those of yesteryear.

    Don't lose all hope yet.

  • ;____;

I can die happily now, i have seen everything.

  • 4:50 - Tears me up every time.

  • Game never overs....Y-Y

  • Cant believe how well ..Exdeath, Lavos...and Kefka theme where combined like dat !!!

  • Game Over caught me off-guard

But what followed after made me burst into a fountain of tears :<

    it's so beautiful ;-;

  • @Preternaturalism this was made by someone japanese xD japanese people love rpgs xD

  • Thank you Prof Sakamoto... You have given us back a taste of what we all missed. Long live 8bit!

  • Beautiful. Purely...Beautiful.

    Game. Never. Over.

Truer words have never been spoken.

  • While I don't know the Romancing Saga series, and barely know Ogre Battle and Ys, I enjoyed this video.

The best part, however, was the very, very end. Now that was a crowning moment of heartwarming.

  • i droped some tears... it's just to much emotions for me to handle. whoever made this is genius. but i miss breath of fire, yoshi's island, dragon quest, donkey kong, seiken densetsu 3, super metroid etc

  • Amazing... 'o_O

    my '90s-granpa-heart is breaking! ;_ ;

  • This clip makes me cry, I miss my childhood, I wanna be a child again...

    THANK YOU FOR THIS REMIX.

  • I don't care what the Sony and Microsoft fags say. The Super Nintendo was the greatest console of all time. PERIOD.

  • I'm touched, to say the least. Fantastic!

  • ;__;

  • Clash on the Big Bridge. MFW I heard it - X )

  • We need some Super Metroid and Megaman X up in here and this will be beyond epic! Man I love this music! Great remixes, great graphics/animations, and way to tie them all together!

  • Oh the Sim City part is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous!

Well actually the whole video is.

  • 2 people were insanely crying in nostalgya that they got blind by the tears and pressed dislike by accident.

  • wonderful,epic:)

  • Epic. Simply just epic, win and everything that is good in this world :)

  • It's like a big... Awesome... Beautiful.... Rock opera ;__;

  • how can two people dislike this? D:

  • Amazing.

  • someone needs to make a custom rom of this, where you play through every single game as every character ever and fight multiple bosses at once. Shit would be super badass

  • No Rockman X? Well, dang. Good video aside.

  • the....memories.....the fun....the joy.....im speechless......i literally cried from 6:00 onward games will never be as good as in the super nintendo era..

  • Oh, Nostalgia. I played lots of these games. Some when they were released, some years later. So I could view them from many different periods of my life: When I was a boy, when I was a teen, when I was a grown up, able to afford the latest gaming equipment. I prefer those lovely pixels over any HD millions of polygons. 30x48 is enough to express emotions. Modern games aren't bad, they are just lacking the love. Thanx to emulators and stuff the old hardware may die but the games will live forever

  • It's like, to me, I know these games, these songs, the graphics, storyline, all very well, but the reality is those who used to play these games back in the day don't remember fully or care any more. Time definitely goes on, and experiencing life makes these memories somewhat pointless, but there's always times of being on the computer at 1 am to re-live and discover where you came from and how things got to where they are today.

  • 5th viewing.... and whenever Celes' theme hits and 'never game over' happen, man that gets me every time

  • Too many RPGS, too many songs from the same games. Not enough variety. The NES medley was more balanced, far superior. I am so disappointed, because I like SNES music better than NES music.

  • I swear to this large piece of heaven that I shall never Game Over again!

  • This is amazing! Thank you so much for that masterpiece!

  • So many memories..... Thank you

  • OMG el mejor video que he visto, no se c uantas veces llore la verdad...forever rachel...

  • I want to say something that will do this amazing video justice, but I can't find the right words, suffice it to say, this was SNES music nerd nirvana.

  • Beautiful. Thank you IsoTkhs. Thank you SNES.

  • I found a butt-ton of SNES games at a garage sale when I was eight years old and begged my mother to buy them for me. The cartridges were Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 2 and 3 (IV and VI), Secret of Mana, and Romancing Saga 2.

........count me in as another weeping eye for Terra and Marle.

  • shit............you got the most popular games in one shot....congrats man

  • While this arrangment was epic, They should of had some music from Super Metroid, Megaman X, and Gradius 3.

  • i can honestly say that i've never had goosebumps like this before

  • I started crying when it switched to Aria di Mezzo Carattere.

I didn't stop until the end.

  • Same here-- I'm glad I'm not the only weepy eye here . . . I lost it with "Never Game Over" . . .

  • @DevlJoe That's when I started crying too.

  • Like first video, five stars. Incredible job!

  • This and part 1 have to be some of the best videos I've ever seen on Youtube...I've watched them tons of times so far, and I still remember playing these games for the first time...even now I have a hard time holding back tears at 4:50 on this video because the song just that moving. It's really very hard to find video game music like this anymore.

  • Same here. Although I have many more points that make my eyes wet. So many awesome memories are connected with the music. It's hard to find something like that nowadays.

Don't get me wrong, they do their best but sometimes I feel like the 16-bit era had just the best video game music of all times, of all times!

  • Makes me Nostalgic for the days when Developers were actually creative and original

  • Game Never Over. Never.

  • The end makes me cry...

  • Thanks, this video truly carries power of emotion with it. It really brought out some nostalgia.

  • Comovente. Se tivesse sprites de Megaman X ou Donkey Kong Country, provavelmente me faria chorar.

E olha que eu nunca tive um SNES...

  • THAT....

    was amazing...

    thanks for this

  • Truly epic, but there was no donkey kong country or megaman..

  • If you are the creator of this: DAMN YOU ARE AWESOME!!!

If not: Well, you are still awesome for uploading and the mp3 link :D

  • *cries* I wish I could relive this era as I am now and have true appreciation for the good that the SNES had with all it's great games...unlike then, gameplay comes second bananna to the actual game these days. I could never appreciate these games back then, I was just a kid...I appreciate the past for what it made and what it was...epic games were made back then unlike now. I'll miss those childhood days, I just wish I was smarter back then.

  • I cried. Hard. Long-live the SNES, the best home console ever made!

  • well, i wouldn't say that... ohh who am i kidding, it's the best!

  • This is the most epic thing I've ever seen.

  • I always wondered why no one has tried to fan-translate Romancing Saga. It was pretty popular in Japan from what I know.

  • simply epic! i was crushed that there was no rockmanX...but simply epic!!

  • "game never over".

    i cried.

thank you for this piece of art.

  • Wow I totally got chills at 4:49!

Truly an epic piece of work - Well done!

  • GIRUGAMESH

  • It scars me to think i'll never live through this era again.

It hurts me to think i've forgotten everything about those games.

It pains me to think in 10 years time, someone will post a similar video, however it will contain music from Halo,Gears of War, etc, and currently-10-year-olds will think of it as "Nostalgiac" and "beautiful".

    .__.

  • I personally think that, even if people think that Halo and Gears of War music are nostalgiac, they will still gravitate back to these two videoes.

  • Yea that really does suck.. but our games focused more on story and sound than graphics, whereas graphics and destruction seem to be the key selling point in games these days. (also I know nico users wont make a medley for god of war and halo, so the video wont have ungodly production value)

  • well said.

it sure as hell lives on, and thats whats so important :D

  • We're old, but all time is relative if we live in the present and don't overly dwell in the past or future. =)

  • @glenny126 Do those games even have the right kind of music to get remixed like this?

  • @glenny126 I don't think so.

There is something magic in Nes compare to our curent game..

  • @glenny126 nah... the older the game, the more epic the music... i don't think those game's ost are as epic as that of these famicon games. lol

  • @glenny126 Take pride in the fact that you lived through that era, and that despite the times that has come and gone, these many classics are still vastly enjoyable games that, despite their age, are still wonderful experiences today, albeit treated as retro, they nevertheless shine.

  • @glenny126 What's wrong with that (your third point)? It's exactly what you're doing now.

  • @glenny126

I prefer to think of it as 10 years from now we will have a similar video with music from Super Mario Galaxy and other amazing Wii/GC games

  • rrooohhh, I'm feel nostalgic ^^

  • aww, no lufia?

  • The only thing i didnt like, Was no Mention of 8 melodies, It would have been PERFECT for the ending song, but that's just me ;D

  • thats what they did in the NES version, but the Pollyanna (or Home Sweet Home if you like) did just fine :P guess they didn't want to repeat what they did last time.

  • Way too much Chrono Trigger in the Medly, I would have liked to hear some SMRPG and Earthbound more.

  • Really great job and mixed together some of the best songs and even more praise for using Chrono Trigger the most (Love the music in that game so much) really makes me want to play a lot of those other games again too.

  • This may well be personal favorites of the author, people, and thats probably why there is no metroid, soul blazer or donkey kong. i dont know, but i dont care, ill just go with whatever makes the coolest, and i think this was awesome!

  • Would have loved to see some Illusion of Gaia in there. Such a great and under-rated game

  • Words cannot grasp the true form of this video's awesomeness.

  • ギルガメッシュ何しに来たw

  • God damnit, Japan. The SNES library comprises more than just Square games.

  • The original creator was probably just basing this off of his favorite SNES games, not the whole SNES library.

  • Best console ever.

  • Yeah, besides Super, this lacks Donkey Kong, Star Fox, and more. Great for the F Zero inclusion though.

  • No Super Metroid? Stop humping FF6 and Chrono Trigger composer. Good arrangement though. Now to receive the thumbs down <_<, but seriously, no SM = FAIL!

  • no soul blazer, illusion of gaia or terranigma, but very well fucking done.

  • Thumbs up. This was great.

  • Nostalgia overload.

  • Best. Ending. Ever.

  • Absolutely jaw dropping. I nearly cried at the end... I won't spoil it for the viewers. You have to watch this!

  • I have a feeling this guy enjoyed Chrono Trigger

  • So what's next? N64? PSX? Game Boy?

  • dang too bad no Der Langrisser, or Seiken Densetsu 3

  • would have loved somthing from der langrisser

  • For all the Square that was in this video, I was surprised to see Seiken Densetsu 3 overlooked!

  • gawd damn, Japanese people are pretty awesome for making these things

  • There wasn't enough Mario, but still great

  • This medley sadly lacks Donkey Kong Country, Super Metroid, Starfox, Super Mario RPG and Kirby Superstar.

Hopefully someone will do a Game Boy Arranged Medley with Super Mario Land, Link's Awakening, Pokemon Red and Blue and Tetris.

  • Aye, the lack of SMRPG really threw me off, but it's still a great medley by all accounts.

  • =/ but mario doesn't have epic ost

  • Super Mario RPG does! I love the music in it.

  • Manly. Fucking. Tears.

  • Being a fan of the SNES and the 90s I cried to this. I have played nearly all the games in this video and they will always stay in my heart. SNES for ever! Game Never over! :) Thank you.

  • Some of the best 20 minutes of my life

  • OH NOES.. No Soul Blazer or Tales of Phantasia :(

  • wow! what a beautiful edit^^ u are rly great!

  • Wow. One of the best edits I've ever seen. :D

  • Is there one of these for genesis?

  • No Actraiser? Heartbroken

I also have to say I was expecting Kefka's theme to be in there somewhere

  • Game never over ( 'A')

  • thats why I love nico video

  • If Super Metroid was in this medley i think we would all say RIdley's Hideout would be in it right?

  • Yeah, the SNES does really have the best games. Believe it or not, i played F-Zero since it came out, and even now i pop it sometimes into the SNES we have :P

  • Well, if you talk about the system itself, then i think the performance of the systems speaks for itself, right? But i think you guys refer to the SNES games, no? :P

  • And, aside of the facts, my favourite gaming system is still the good old pc :P Emulators are useful afterall.

  • I think it's safe to say:

The Super Nintendo is, by far, the GREATEST system of all time!

  • Well, not the best system, but the gameplay value of most games passes easily the value of modern games.

  • holy god amazing. :'D but no super metroid? :O

  • rawr this needs moar views :( its sooooooooooooooooooooooo good

  • Is it wrong to be watching all these games.... with tears in my eyes?

Godess... I miss those times. I really do.

  • The best ever 5/5

  • as of right now im clapping my hands nice vids

  • lol random gilgamesh appearance XD

wow, ur work never ceases to amaze me... this is by far one of the most amazing things ive seen in a long while. brings back so many memories from back when i grew up with the SNES. 5/5 no doubt.

  • ugh im in ecstasy...

  • Hmm I believe EarthBound was from 3:15 to 3:45...

    Epic Ending!

  • Yes, Earthbound is the second in the Mother series.

  • Uhmm, yeah... I know that...

  • :')

  • Fantastic

  • fucking awesome thank you

  • lol this is so cool
