I've got one of these and I simply love it. Not sure if I'll pick up the Part 2 version. I'll probably get the Sunstar version of that. Anyways that big gray thing in the back where you activate the sounds ... .you need to rewatch the movie again. That's where the "big pole and hook" went into.
@speederice, The way I see it, they better be very cheap missing the logos like that. Aside from that what I am really looking for is more of a "musuem" quality display model over a "toy" which I dont know if this would classify as a toy or a display model that just happens to have lights and sounds.
@Milner62 I would say this is definitely more of a toy. It has a very hard plastic-y feel to it, and the mass production caused many of the finer details to be missed. If you are looking for a display model, I'd recommend the 1:18 Sunstar model that you mentioned earlier in the comments. I think that one is more complete in terms of the finer details (time circuits, labeling, parts in the back of car). Don't get me wrong, I love the 1:15, but it's not what you're looking for...
@speederice, The 1:15 while bigger does seem to lack finner details I noticed, for instance the switch they hidden as the base of the lightning rod from the first film was clever but its just not to scale its on the larger side. I do like the lights, I wouldnt mind having a musuem quality detailed 1:18 scale Delorean if it had working headlights and tail lights, maybe even working interior lights. But ultimately I dont play to play with it, just build a diorama like display case and put it in.
The only character from the Star Wars Prequels who I REALLY want to kill would be Jar Jar Binks.

Hey sorry, didn't watch the whole video, but the beginning was funny. Is it true the Diamond 1:15 is plastic instead of a diecast model?
yujiosHERO 1 month ago
@yujiosHERO yes this one is all-plastic. The Sunstar 1:18 is the diecast model.

@BigT1981 I get what you're saying, but the scale is way off. That's why it seems very out of place.

Why do you shoot your video in a "cave" without light?

@giovannicolombomi2 Just to make people mad. I had to be quiet though so I didn't wake the hibernating bears.

This version was in BTTF 2. It was featured at the end of the movie, as a lead-in to Part 3. So, the labeling is sort of accurate.
oneofthousands1994 1 year ago
@oneofthousands1994, yep they did reply part of BTTF1 at the begining of BTTF2, sort of a way to tie it all in.
Personally i would love to get the 1:15 scale one but because the DMC logos are missing I think I will just focus on getting the 1:18 scale.

@Milner62 Yeah, the logos missing are a pain. I had to paint them on in another video. I have seen people print them out on stickers though...

the big silver part where you can make the sounds with th ecar can be the place where you place the lighting rod in the first movie

They did actually make a Mr. Fusion, barcode plate, hover Part 2 Delorean, so at least that box is right. :-!
