can anyone tell me how to find specific cards... i want to build a library destroyer, mana destroyer, opponent cant put a creature, with some cheap creature... white/blue deck... anyone?
my husband plays, and i would like to use these videos as a window into his world, but it's such bad quality, it's not really possible for a newcomer to follow. please fix!
@katherinegonzales82 I recommend using these videos in combination with something like mtgvault.com. With the new auto complete on the card search, if you can spell the first few letters of the card you're unsure about, it can finish it, and you'll be able to click on it and see what it does. That should help you understand a bit more of what's going on.
@RollJob88 not rly if you have the right balance and combos. big decks are good if you have a good use for the tutors, or if you even have them at all. but then again, they are good in smaller decks as well. i'd say 70 could be the max
find me one decklist that has topped 8 in the last 10 years in any major tournament that has over 60 cards excluding sideboard and i'll say maybe agree with you. having less cards in your deck increases your chances of drawing a useful card. why do you think they have a minimum? every deck would be 40 cards if that was the minimum. think about it.
since you didn't name a deck list its obvious no deck over 60 cards is competitive on a pro or semi-pro level. you keep playing with your 70 card fun decks. i find winning fun, so i'll play with 60 cards.
That's why Gabe Nassif won Pro Tour Kyoto with 61. It's ill advised if you're inexperienced but I think a championship winning deck qualifies as "competitive".
if you want something your inital hand you have a 7/60 chance of getting any one specific card in your deck approx a 12% chance. then approx 2% per each draw for a specific card.
@TheSandM2009 thankyou... somebody talking some sense. i guess i shouldn't assume only smart people play magic. but i like to approach the game like i approach chess. don't respond to your opponent, predict what he/she is going to do.
sup pros. im new to this game. it seems pretty kool but pretty close to duel masters. havent bought any decks. when i start im gonna buy 4. i need tips. i want to make a green white deck but is that a good idea. i wanna get molimo deck, cho manno deck, natures fury and the legiion thing. i need help on strtaegies. hope i get a reply.
all decks is good... just try to find yours.. and your cards .. with some time you can know you deck good. use 1 deck (main) and maby have a reserve if u losing to much, but dont forget the main deck. just work on it to get it more powerfull
@TheEndSkyress in order to have a rly good deck you're already going to burn a good ammount of money in it, 5 decks is a waste. have 2 of them, 2 completely different ones for different occasions
I have 2 decks that kick ass, ones a sliver deck and the other is a plains soldier deck. i wish i could get to where they are, ive never entreed any competition
that's a draft tournament in which you build ur deck out of cards from 3 packs which are passed around a table of 8 people. Obviously, these decks are not as good as Constructed decks... (decks made from your own collection)
kinda weird i been playing since 96 and i dont do that mabye it has something to do with them being nervious or something id probably be nervious playing for like 40 grand eh i dunno

These weird pan outs and long shots are painfully annoying. I want to watch the game, not see the nice decor.

@RollJob88 it's not because they are not top decks that you can't have fun and success with a 70 deck card. just adjust the strategy.

@RollJob88 personally i think that is harder to do in magic imagine all the cards they could play lol

@greenone well, if your smart, and they're good, or at least use good cards. you should be able to know 80% of they're deck by the third turn.

At 18:20, why didn't Hebky tap Obelisk of Alara for three damage and then tap it again for another three on his next turn?
Blazeborne 2 years ago
All right, I see, Hebky has no red mana generator. Too bad for him, as the game would have went down much more quickly.
