  • Does it hurt while the blood is being sucked out?

  • Wat the fuck r u doing with ur hand??? chill the fuck out

  • @deathman113 he has to do that for the blood to flow, hes obviously not gonna move his hands for no reason...

  • @deathman113 lol. u crazy

  • @deathman113 you have to do that to keep a steady flow of blood into the machine.

  • donating plasma is a waste of time.... they give u like 15/30 bucks max and they make 300 to 500 bucks with ur plasma to hospitals just like when u sell gold at cash for gold centers

  • @ajaykeer23939 ... except plasma is used to save lives...

  • @DiamondNotch ya but they get the credit of glory and stuff for it while u get 30 bucks and fuck off and give more

  • @ajaykeer23939

... or you go home with the knowledge that you made someones shitty life a little less shitty... and that'll be enough...

  • i just donated today in louisiana it does not hurt. it hurts more when they prick your finger. iv been donating for a while so far today has been my 20th time. 80 more times and i get a 500$ bonus. right now im getting paid 25$ my first time of the week and 35$ for my second time of the week. it takes me about 45 min. but i only donate 690. also for those who donate, DO NOT tighten your musle or flench. it will hurt alote. so just relax and dont look at it when they put it in.

  • It takes HUGE amts of plasma to make small amts. of lifesaving medications. The $ you get is considered compensation for your donation, not payment. It is safe as long as you meet requirements (you need to be honest about your medical history) and you take care of yourself (be hydrated, eat right).

  • For you idiots below. If you got paid for your time, you would get more money the days your there longer which you don't, u still get 20 bucks.. If you got payed for your plasma, you could put a price on that shit ("I'm healthier, I want 40 bucks) but you can't, u still get 20 bucks.. If both of you idiots knew any better you would know that you get paid 20 bucks for each visit in which you donate. Pendejos!!!!

  • Yay now you got $20 for a 12 pack and sum marlboros.....

  • i am just getting started to donate and im only 13 im very nervous but curious is is hurt

  • @TheCarlee123 i thought u had 2 b 18 to donate. i live in so cal, and it's $25 for 1st time of the week, 30 the second time within that same week. that's if u r over 170 lbs and can donate the maximum ammount. every 6th donation within a month u get $10 more. doesn't hurt much, actually the pin prick when they check your blood before donation hurts more. i still drink a lot (everyday) and lift heavy at the gym and haven't notice any difference.

  • I used to work for a plasma donation center. I would like to speak to everyone who says that its fraudulent, or that you're screwing your body over by donating. Let me blast all of you. Plasma is a material that your body is CONSTANTLY manufacturing. You dont run out of it. Once the plasma is donated, it is turned over to companies like Octapharma. Octapharma is a company that takes the plasma and uses it for medicine and other life saving components for trauma victims, injured military

  • @kd7zbx First of all, human plasma is NOT a material, it's a liquid running through our blood. We have RBCs (Red Blood Cells) Platelets, White blood cells and Plasma (the liquid). We are compensated for our time and not our Plasma.

  • @PlatinumRomance Do me a favor and dont lecture me about what the blood is composed of. I know very well. I am sorry that my wording was wrong for you. But I know damn well what plasma is. And if you knew how much the pharmaceuticals paid for it, you would know that you are being paid for the plasma and NOT your time.

  • @kd7zbx Dam n you're dumber than i thought. If you knew what you were talking (which you dont) then you sure in the hell would sound like it. You CANNOT sell your plasma. It is ILLEGAL for you as an individual to sell blood products. Your blood is sold by the company that took your blood (UBS, plasma centers etc) to hospitals and clinics because THEY are licensed and government regulated. If we were paid for our Plasma...then they would have to tax us and they dont. I work in O.R FYI :D

  • just did it today for 1st time. anyone knows, how about lifting (heavy) weights while donating? any effects/ differences in strength, energy?

  • the neddles dont hurt if you get a nurse that knows what she id actually doing. this past year i've been getting blood tests because i have or had a sever case of psoarisis and with the meds im taking they have to do it and my nurse who does the blood draw has no clue what she's doing and it hurts like hell. also i have to give self-injected shots wich also hurts like hell. so this year i fell like a pin cushin. so be thankful you got a good nurse who knows how to do an I V

  • i am a college student who can't get a job. so i went to donate and got 30 dollars. however, that's only for first time donors. because i weigh less i get paid less. so for any following visit, i get 15 dollars. even though i'm giving the same amount as someone that weighs more. forgive me for not packing on gratuitous pounds. i strive to be healthy despite being so broke.

  • do you have to pay taxes on the money you get? (real question please answer)

  • @MrItsthatguy Nope

  • @MrItsthatguy no they give you a prepaid debit card usually. It beats some flaw in the law system where you cant pay actually money for organs and such.

  • @MrItsthatguy nope.. if you do it long enough then report it to irs i guess lol.. but thats way too much for my blood.. literally!

  • @big31074 No you dont pay taxes because they pay you for your time not plasma.

  • @big31074 That's why we are DONATING plasma and not selling.

  • Working Lockerz points generator!!---> /watch?v=kXohMFvcA4M

  • How do they put your blood back in you?

  • I am donating/selling (whatever you want to call it) plasma tomorrow Im doing it not because im on drugs and need the money but because i lost my job and that same week my husband had to miss work so we are a bit behind on being able to pay the bills. So those of you who are telling people to enjoy the beer money and their tainted blood stop being an ass and do your research.

  • @ddeiterscrysania well, i'm gonna do it for drugs so, uhhh, suck it

  • @FreeZach666 same :)

  • @FreeZach666 nice! lol

  • thats the old slow munchins your place needs an upgrade

  • @blissfullness93 technically i's donating since your getting paid for the time of donating plasma

  • There are NO plasma centers near where I live. :(

  • @Lurdanjo that sucks

  • I was scare for u ahhhh

  • @GabbythePoet I made it out alive

  • Is your hand twitching on its own?

  • @WarPigRS probably lol

  • If you have Convergence Insufficiency (CI), don't bother trying to donate at Biolife until you have finished vision therapy for it, because Biolife is not understanding at all toward people who have CI.

  • Your voice sounds like Kip off of Napolian Dynamite ! :-)

  • @ChristieLooHoo i know i hate it lol

  • @big31074 It's all good. He did get Lavonda by the end of the movie. lol I still love watching that show. Take care my fellow plasma donater !

  • I wonder if it is wise to intentionally expose one's self to Phthalates on a regular basis...I mean, like from the bag of saline and the tubing, directly entering your blood stream...anyone know??

  • I do it for free because i'm a top bloke

  • The Wonder Twins in LA donate plasma at ABS in Tarzana, it gives them food and gas money to survive while they are pursuing entertaining careers. They will be on America's Got Talent in July, in fact a picture of Tim in a black speedo on stage with Tom is on the America's got Talent LA auditions front page. Check it out, and vote for them!

  • Most all the donors are just trying to keep their bad habits at large. Crack and Meth. Its about all it is.

  • @sydonabike Don't these plasma centers screen for drugs? I'd like to start donating just to keep up with my bills. I got laid off and just finished college but I'm still having a hard time finding a job with the messed up economy.

  • @marilyn007manson1

    @marilyn007manson1

They sure do. Saw a guy go to the bathroom there a few weeks ago and here come the cops and wait for him outside the door.

They rat you out for lying to them. If you're honest to begin with, they won't report you.

There is money involved and plus its a risk to others health as well as your own to go through the process under many substances.

They just wait for you to come back...boom... they got you.

Everyone keeps blaming economy, and I'm not

  • @sydonabike That's why I don't understand why people say that all plasma donators are drug addicts. If they get screened for drugs, they'd fail the drug test and wouldn't be able to donate. I have no use for drugs, I just need money to catch up on bills until I find a job.

  • @marilyn007manson1

well, they're slick and try to go clean a while before going...or too broke that they have no choice to go clean.

One guy died and his family tried suing but it failed, because as it turned out he was also donation to another center two times a week. On his autopsy they said he had little if any plasma at all.

BUT....How did the one they tried to sue, not catch that he was dramatically low on protein levels and other things? ...Both parties are crooked

  • Donation might have pluses. I've been doing it since Sept 2009. But today I stop. I get to looking around at the people in there and they all have that same fallen in look. I don't know whether to blame the frequent donations or their lifestyles, But , It can't be healthy doing it 2 times every week.

  • The one by me says it'll take 3-5 hours to do this. Is that how it is? :|

  • In San Diego its $80 for the first two donations. Pretty good, im looking at the comments of other citys and countrys and so far San Diego pays the most woo woo. Proud to be a San Diegan LMAO!!!!!!!

  • @babypink912 its also pretty expensive to live there too lol

  • @fenderstrat91 yeah your right. i didnt even think of why we would pay more. but yeah its hella expensive. gas is high, food is high, fines is high and living is omg through the roof. the cheapest studio out here in SD can you run you around $700. in some states/cities for $700 you can get a house lol.

  • @babypink912 its good spending money when your barely making through payments

  • @big31074

Quit drinkin and smokin so much and doing drugs..if you do...and maybe you can make those payments.

  • @fenderstrat91 thats also why most people love to VISIT San Diego but never ever wanna STAY in San Diego LOL!!!!!!!!

  • @babypink912 lol yeah thats what my sister said she came back from vacation there last week

  • hahah stop movin your hand and it might hurt a little less...lolz

  • it's $50+ here in kansas.

  • @SweetKooshy not bad!

  • @SweetKooshy sweet dude i live in kansas too lol i go to one in kansas city missouri

  • @SweetKooshy i live in kansas too lol

  • Example:I go on tue. And thu.

I get paid $25 on tue and $30 on thu

This is in the area of Los Angeles CA

  • Damn, in czech republic they pay approx. 22dollars per donation. And u can donate only once in 14days, because of our newest medical laws (trying to protect donors..).

  • Comment removed

  • funny... not.. migrant

  • I donate blood sometimes, but today I'm going in to donate plasma for the first time (I need some extra money to help with school loans)

I assume it's like donating blood but longer. Donating is only painful when they blow a vein.

  • donating is the best! its the easiest money you could make. the people that are bashing it probably have aids so they got denied from donating. or they have to answer yes to the " have you had sex with a male anytime after 1970."

  • Comment removed

  • @cms444 That aids part is funny lol. I once got denied 2 years ago because of my tattoos. I have full sleeves and the nurse was worried that the tattoo ink might contaminate the plasma. After doing research I found out that professional tattoo ink is non toxic to blood, plasma and organs. Now the nurse says they're concerned about scarring that might be caused from tattooing. I have to talk to a nurse tomorrow. I have no scars over my vains so I'm hoping I can finally donate.

  • Hahaha I was reading a comment when she squirted that stuff on your arm I looked up and I though you were oozing out blood hahaha

  • are you sure that the blood comes back to you that would seem idk a bit odd. did the nurse tell you that? also where did you go to find a place to donate your plasma?

  • how long does the actual blood taking take? from the second they put the needle and pull it out.

  • Where I live we get 50$ for a donation

  • @worldoncrack- they dont pay for your plasma, they pay for the time you spent donating. Thats why its still a donation.

@big31074 - those machines are alot different than the ones we use here in NM. Looks alot easier to hook donors up to..how long did it take you to donate?

  • if its that unimportant to your body then why do they pay alot for it ?

they say it helps alot of sick people , well what goes around comes around

and i can imagine they make anti aging expensive meds with that to the richest people on earth while you idiots will have a kidney or liver failure in years and think that is probably have nothing to do with loosing shit load of your natural plasma and replacing it with some chemicals that gives you funny mouth taste , enjoy your beer money ; )

  • @WorldOnCrack haha. kidney and liver damage.. do your research before you blast people donating plasma.

  • @WorldOnCrack haha, research before blasting someone with your arrogant comments

  • @big31074

HAha...ha..(sarc) we have. Some of us have actually done it. You can tell a difference in about a year and a half of doing it.

  • @WorldOnCrack Research suggests that the closest thing to long term problems would be a decrease in antibodies for a week or two. And also it's used for people who don't have an altogether there immune system (like HIV positive). And other, newer, research suggests that it will cause your body to build antibodies faster, lowering risk for heart disease. I understand that selling something everyone makes can seem morally wrong, but it is best to actually look into these things.

  • @WorldOnCrack they compenste for your time not the plasma

  • @MrWhiteboy93 I wish all medical facilities conpensated us for our time. We could make a fortune off the time we spend in some of them waiting rooms. lol

  • @WorldOnCrack Basically, plasma carries a lot of the body's nutrients. The body naturally replenishes plasma, which is why you can donate plasma twice a week. And they don't replace it with chemicals. They take a pint of your blood, filter out the plasma, and then pump your blood back into you, and within 48 hours, your body has naturally replenished the plasma that you lost. As far as uses...who cares? You get paid to do something not harmful to your body.

  • LOL!!!.....and when were done with this were getting 35 buuuuuccccckkkkksssss.

    Good attitude

  • where do you donate at> I donate at Biomat

  • @jrhoades1989 it was there

  • is that as painful as it looks

  • @mahdimix nah, it just looks painful

  • @big31074 It would be a HIPAA violation if you posted somebody else's plasma donation...

  • @sneakers55 thats good to know :)

  • I am a phlebotomist at a plasma donation center. First off, posting a video of your plasma donation on youtube like this is a HUGE HIPAA violation and you can get in serious trouble for it. Second off, your phlebotomist made multiple mistakes on the iodine scrub and she shoud NEVER touch the site again after the iodine scrub. And make sure you have your facts straight. Do you still donate at this center? And Im curious, is it a Biomat?

  • @mooskab yeah i heard that in my earlier posts.. so this is a good teaching tool for other not to the do this mistake, as for the violation. when i receive an authorized person from the hipaa, then i will remove it.... also, it might be biomat or not.. ill let ya decide :) thanks for the post

  • @mooskab Greeting! I guess I'm curious as to what one would look for in choosing(?) a donation center? e. g. clean environment, but other clues as to whether or not a center is operating safely/properly? Many Thanks & Take Care!

  • @oldflatus Definitely a clean environment, e.g. the donor beds are being cleaned after each donation. If you don't know the Standard Operating Procedures, it can be difficult to determine whether that center is operating properly or not. Try to look for a center where the staff is polite and upbeat, I've noticed that if the workers are enjoying their job, they are more likely to not take shortcuts just to get donors through. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me. :)

  • @mooskab this video is posted here bloodbanker com plasma

  • @mooskab Can you tell me what mistakes they made?

  • @FlyLady13 The phlebotomist made the following mistakes: 1- the iodine circle is too large. 2- on the second swab, the phlebotomist picked the swab off the site multiple times. 3- the phlebotomist felt for the vein AFTER the site had already been prepped with the iodine. 4- the phlebotomist touched the iodine site to anchor down the skin.

  • @mooskab Thanks heaps! I will keep a close eye out when I donate!

  • wanna make some real money online ?

    Visit dronlinemoney.webs(dot)com/

  • Did they tell you to move ur hand like that?

  • It's good for you because it removes fatty cholesterol in the blood

  • they pay 30 the first time 50 the second and it's 20 from there on out

  • @jfeltes2 that 20 sucks after the first two times

  • I wish people would just do this more so out of the kindness of their hearts...

  • @HanMan3000 i also wish for free healthcare off of kindness too but doesn't sounds like that will never happen in this "for profit" country

  • @big31074 How old do you need to be to be a blood donor?

  • @minglemonkey this aint donating blood. its plasma. and its 18 for both

  • @Mustavalava ah okay thanks, looks like i need to wait for 2 years :/ I wont be selling my blodd or anything I'd give it for free:) I'm good like that :P

  • Comment removed

  • @SouthTexasRich Ah okay thanks dude, i loe in the U.K I'll ask my doctor next time I need t osee him

I wont be selling my blood or plasma as I think it's wrong, I'd donate it for free :)

  • @big31074 You are this nations GNP...Social security anyone.

  • how in the world you going to get money if you are donating

  • @onedollarman1 huh??

  • @big31074 donating is to give something for free....

  • @onedollarman1 - There paying u to give -PLASMA/BLOOD- just donating is the best way to put it. basically your helping someone out that needs it, and in return they pay u little amounts of money to donate.. some people do it weekly some do it occasionally!? im hurting right now cause my job so im goin 2mrw morning for the 1st time..

  • Comment removed

  • @SouthTexasRich i agree, but they didn't let me give plasma cause i had a sleeve tattoo,, o well shit happens

  • they pay 50 a visit where im from. and you can go twice a week.

  • @margillister thats pretty good! 400 dollars a month isnt too bad for just donating

  • when that needle went in, it was like nothin', that dude's a champ!

  • @Pokerislife7 according to the other comment poster, it was my extended practice of heroin use lol

  • How long does it take to give plasma JUST the part when the needle is in?

  • @yamashitarocks Like 30 to 45 min, I donate concentrated doses of red blood cells, so it's the same process except I receive the plasma and give away a pint of concentrated blood cells. I do it because I'm o neg :P

  • Something creepy about this. You could just go work at Mcdonalds instead. Lol.

  • @vengefall who said i was unemployed.. its fast and extra money. not all hard working americans have 50k jobs

  • You guys get paid for plasma? And I've been donating it for free all this time :p I don't think we pay people in Canada to donate, which is nice to see so many people still doing it.

  • Dont donate for money, do it for love

  • @1rubi111 sometimes people are down on their luck

  • @1rubi111 whats wrong with doing it for money ?

  • the "donation" you do, goes directly to the pharmaindustry, and they make really good money with it. you get 20 dollars i think. - so, in fact you support the rich pharmaindustry to get even richer. your plasma is MUCH more worth than just 20 dollars ;-) and the people who donate dont even get scanned for drugs as far as i know, and i know it.

  • @corona333 you do realize we live in a capitalist govt.. everything is for profit... you buy gas, you make oil companies rich... you donate blood, you give hospitals profit for free when you need it.... you buy prescription pills, you make pharmaceuticals money. So unless we had our own machines, then until then its donating. Thank you... If the plasma isnt tainted, that's all that matters.. anyone wont care when the day they seriously need it.

  • @big31074 i care about tainted plasma no matter what. i saw people entering the building to donate -.- how can you think that people do not care about tainted plasma? do you drink salt water when thirsty?

  • @corona333 have you heard of a pandemic of tainted plasma? no.. so as long as they doing it right.. no need to be chicken little and yell the sky is falling

  • @big31074 i never heard of a pandemic in case of plasma. its very easy to sterilize it. BUT, i worry about the taint of drugs. the future will show.

  • Id say you guys got ripped xD i donated when i had mono for medical research and they gave me $200 per donation up to $1600 a month...not that its any fun having mono... and they only do it the first time you get it, something about the antibodies being at their highest rate or something

  • @kimimaru188 mono doesnt seem so nice to have..

  • And you make easyer for cops to lie on you, put you in a place you never been. those MF can not be trusted.

  • I'm in mcallen how much did they pay you?

  • @Reymatiaslopez I'm not sure what the rate is now. You can always stop by and ask

  • does it hurt a lot? and can you get it done at like...any hospital?

  • @snokerbonk there are plasma cejter and I'm not too sure about hospitals. It doesn't hurt, its pretty much mental

  • They use realy just for cosmetics and what not-i don't want my children fell for those scam-bags.

  • @src438 do your research before you talk crap. 5 posts about the same thing.. If I call this a scam then consider blood donations a scam. You donate blood but in return you get charged when you need it...

  • DON'T DONAT PLASMA-DON'T-DON'T - DON'T”

  • @unknowngiver You can go to your local Canadian Blood Service, google them or phone 1-888-2-DONATE. They are usually by hospitals :)

gawd, i sound like a commercial... Happy giving:)

  • CarlLewenski you are truely a asshole and a bastard all rolled into one I know plenty of people who donate and they are not crackheads or alcoholics they come from all different walks of life and they donate to save lifes YOU JACKASS!

  • @Raven131984 hey thanks for the backup. I hate it when people just assume without getting their details straight. Yes, they been telling me on previous post that the girl didn't do it correctly. I'm glad this video has gotten alot of input

  • big31074 hate to be the one to tell you but everything done during your plasma donation was WRONG. That phlebotomist should have been fired on the spot she could have got you sick with a staff infection and you could have died thank god you didn't. I'm a phlebotomist myself and your taught from day one not to retouch the site where you scrub because it can cause a staff infection.

  • @SouthTexasRich First off if your trying to sound smart you don't. It's PHLEB not FLEEB learn to spell you jack ass! I'm willing to bet as poor as your English is that's as poor as your sticking is anything you want to compare stick counts we can do that but at least if you want to sound smart come at me with something better then that.

  • how much can you get for donating Im thinking of doing it?

  • soo. i heard that they poke you a couple times to find the plasma, like digging. is that true? or is it just one time poke? please answer soon somebode, im donating in like an hour!!

  • @guitarsaiyan if they kept poking the crap out me then I wouldn't of donated

  • @guitarsaiyan - Plasma is a part of your blood. It's like water of your blood. All of the other parts (red and white blood cells, platelets) float in the plasma. To get the plasma, they draw your blood and separate out the plasma with a machine (you get your own sterile one-time-use kit). They then give you back everything but your plasma along with some saline and anticoagulant. It's very safe. The only reason they MIGHT have to dig is if they miss the vein with the needle on the first try.

  • I hope I never need blood. No one but crackheads and alcoholics go to these places.

  • @CarlLewenski First of all its not blood. Second, Im not an alcoholic or a crackhead. Third: all plasma is tested. and Last: maybe an alcoholic will crash into you and your gonna need an alcoholic's blood to save your life lol

  • @big31074 i hate all the people around me when i donate

  • @magicmike50 just get an mp3 player and ignore em

  • @CarlLewenski why would u be so choosey in a situation when u need blood or plasma?

  • Hi big!

i think its great you did it, dont mind people saying dont accept money for it bla bla...

doctors in your country dont treat you for nothing as well now, do they? ^^

my question is: how about the infection risks?

i mean if the person that donated plasma right before you had AIDS, could you get infected? what about hep B or C? i'm curious about it, but was not able to find any answers via google.

    thanks in advance, dave
