What's with all the fag music in these European farming vids??
Music is by Guru Josh Project and the track is called Infinity. Trance is hugely popular in northern Europe (Netherlands, Denmark, Germany etc) which is where a lot of these vids are shot.
sorry for butting in but unimogs are also very hard to see out of to the back and to your right side so it makes it hard to get in and out of the narow gaitways we have in this country
God no! blaenwerns boys have enough trouble keeping 40k machines upright. its just some kit from a farm in staffordshire/shropshire, they get jcb prototypes and stuff.
why dont the tractors pull larger trailers.why do most silage trailers be 22 ft approx.why cant they be 40ft long.or why cant they pull trailers in tandem???
size of silage clamps, farm yards, legality issues, weight, horsepower. Unless they are side tipping trailers you cant pull them in tandem, dont think you could get grass out of a side tipping one that well. why with the stupid questions?
well there not stupid questions really, whats the point in having say a fendt 936 with 300 plus hp but its only pulling a trailer weight of approx 20tons.its like putting a car trailer behind a 600hp truck.would it not make more sense in this day and age when diesel and running costs are so high to be able to achieve maximum efficiency from your equipment.
Seeing as the legal maximum weight for a tractor and trailer is 24.5t. A fendt 936 at its lightest is 10 tones, leaving 14tones worth of trailer for it too pull. the trailer would be 6 tonnes, leaving 8 tonnes of grass or maize. whats the fucking point. this makes it a stupid question. As for the lorry point, its not a bad idea appart from the fact that lorries get stuch in a puddle, and that they wouldnt get into much silage clamps due to there size. Do you live in the real world?
unfortunately i do live in the real world and its a shit world really,so your telling me that a tractor and trailer combination cannot weigh more than 24.5tons.but what happens if the tractor weighs 20tons and has 600hp do these laws still apply.i mean what is the point in increasing the size of silage harvesters if the grass is still going into the same size trailer?.in practice the more you move the cheaper it will cost you and the more efficient your day is.
i can see what your saying, but unfortunately with the legal weight limit for a tractor trailer combination in the uk is 24.5 tonnes. your not quite getting my point. so if a 600hp tractor weights 20t, the implement or trailer that it is towing cannot weight more than 4.5 tonnes. unfortunately the law applies to every tractor regardless tp weoght or power at the moment. so stop asking these stupid questions, how old are you 12?
while that is true, and i even know someone in the uk that does it, it requires drivers with a hgv1 and a tacho, so there are restrictions on hours worked because they have to have brakes every few hours etc. thats even more cost due too the tax for hgv,s extra pay for drivers ( my mate driving unimogs is on £15hr) and the expence of the strict M.O.T's that these things have to go through. not to mention a new unimog is 120k. face it wagons are not viable.
is a unimog that expensive lord.i don't think Irish laws are that bad.but if money was not an issue then would you agree that a unimog coupled to a large trailer would work.providing that farm yards were big enough to turn in etc.
Where was this lads, yer driving it like ye stole it,KHL :)

but if a unimog were used to pull the trailer it could pull as much as a truck,.
