@malfeam I was clubbing once where two guys messed around with my girlfriend when we left. i took it easy, offered them some cash for a drink, one grabbed me, I put pressure on his hand towards my chest grabbing it hard while my other hand grabbed and squeezed his throat, I smashed him onto a street lamp and when I let him go, I gave him a nice deep nuckle punch sideways into one of his kidneys so he never forgets. Result, he and his watching friend will NEVER harm anyone ever again.

I am my own boss so could not care less going to jail and where I live, if someone would sue me the most they would get is me paying for his lawyer because in my country sueing is not like in the US where you can be over a friend's house, be dumb enough to fall down his stairs and then even sue him and get millions if he is rich.. lol, remember 90% of the countries are not like the US when it gets to sueing. @malfeam Actually they were far from drunk. If someone just pushes me and touches me in an aggressive way, he has just started what I call physical assault. If I do nothing they think I am scared and surely I run away from a group but two wankers, disrespecting women and making the very bad idea to try and corner me will not work. Alcohol is no excuse either (they were not drunk), but there I usually just flat-slap the shit out of one of their ears, did that once, worked perfect.

A broken wrist will stop most fights with your average "street tough guy." Unless the average dude is looking for a straight brawl or is on drugs, then the fight will usually stop and you can take him into custody. That is what these are for. They're not street fight tools. They're a nondeadly form of control. If you run into a dude that is 7 feet tall and 300 lbs that is looking to break bodies, then pulling out one of these is just stupid.

I do Lohan Kung Fu since many many years and I would choose a fist anytime over a 1/4 stroke of one of those into my: Jaw, neck, back, head, ears, forearms, hands, fingers, ribcage, knee front and back.... plus, the force you use with a baton stick if you do it proper is probably 100x less than a regular half decent fist blow. very well done. I am considering carrying an expandable baton for jogging, versus a taser or pepper spray. all of them are much lighter than carrying a gun for jogging purposes. I like to run before sunset or before sun rise because it is cooler than it is during the day during the summer
Other than not retreating quite quick enough (like Floaffy noted), he handled the whole situation well...particularly from a legal perspective. This was a textbook self-defense situation and he was well within the law.
Kicked the shit out of them...but I wouldn't walk away, I'd kind of run, in case one of them had a handgun that they hadn't gotten around to using by then.
