    helllp.

    cant read tabs either :/

  • the verses are just back and forth between a C, D, and Em

there's an interlude with an A stuck in there.

    and then the bridge thing is a G#m6 and a G6 and then: Am7, Cmaj7, B....Cmaj7, Am7, B..... and then back to the G#m6 and the G6

and the outro is an Em(7) and a C i believe

  • Yeah sort of, but the chords are really unique, there's a great tab to look up on ultimate-guitar

  • In love with this voice <3

  • Personally i can't get enough of his voice when he sings "Take me WIIIIIITH YOUUUU!" at 3:20

  • @crazyplan9 i cry everytime it gets to that point. Its such a beautfil build up, the entire song has such a great energy, very chilling to the bones :) When it gets to that point when he sings hmm hmmm hmmm reckoner take me with you, i cant help but cry for some reason. Its hitting me on some emotional level and i dont even know why im crying. its just beautiful. i went so long without even knowing the real lyrics because thom's voice is an instrument all its own. so so special

  • @crazyplan9

  • Great fucking list.

  • @dareinsanity absolutly the best bands ever...i m just floating away with his voice now, i don't want to come back

  • @dareinsanity Porcupine tree fucking blows my mind, and they don't get nearly the recognition they deserve. But that is probably a good thing. Who knows. But god this is true beauty.

  • i really like it much more like this

  • "This is probably the most beautiful thing I've ever heard .... just perfect" [2]

  • This is probably the most beautiful thing I've ever heard .... just perfect .... <3 love Thom <3

  • Jings,

  • Thom yorke and jeff buckley can reach heights of notes that I thought were unreal...........

    :]

  • ... seems that big breasts are necessary for that ...

congratulation thom, you made it without ... ;)

well, I really appreciate every MAN who is able to sing clearly in heights like this!!

  • Eunuchs, and ball-less men are still men.

  • Thank you for your pointless observation that has nothing to do with this conversation.

  • it doesnt matter how well a bunch of non musicians can sing. i only care about real musicians not those fake ass posers.

  • u stunad!! Thom is a musician, benonce and mariah carey are posers

  • lol, i, im a massive radiohead fan i thought you ment radiohead dont write there music!!!!!!! i was going to tell you same thing you told me :)

  • that would be Thom Yorke not Mariah Carey

  • well yeah how sad that tehy make music that is not half as good as radiohead

  • I think tehy's songs are pretty decent.

  • HOLY MOLY.

    Thom Yorke is my god

  • great tune...guitar and vocals...Thom!

  • Anyone know where I can get this?

Reckoner is one of my favourite songs and the acoustic version sounds great

  • I hear a performance like this and not only does it get my soul in an emotional twist, there is also this sense of happiness to simply be alive at the same time as this genius artist. Just like with the Beatles generation, future generations of music lovers will be jealous of us, who got to experience this stuff while it was happening... Think about it! ^^

  • couldn't agree more Fritha71.

  • Jeez... you're right! *rapidly collects limited edition Radiohead merchandise*

  • @Fritha71 you just blew my fucking dome piece! true dat sir, true dat

  • i thought Jonathan ross was television? unless he has a radio show too

  • lol you not aware of jonathon ross getting suspended because of the offensive joke he made on his radio show?

  • no i live in canada, i just know hes kinda like the jay leno or conan of Britain, whatd he say?

  • lol google 'jonathan ross and andrew sachs'

  • it was on russell brand's radio show, jonathan was a guest host as matt morgan was away

  • amazing piece of music

  • i can tell u i just got off the phone with m x it hurts this song is like woah

  • great!

  • its thom

  • His voice is just... Crazy...!

  • i disagree... i think the album is different from the rest a lot like the transition form ok computer to hail to the thief (i personally was like these felt way too different.)

i would say this album is less dreary ,but still mello dramatic, and still a good album. a lot of the songs on this album are not pleasing on the first listen hearing them live or having an unconscious listen can change things

  • i likes it!

  • this song is about him selling his soul to the devil for happiness. but he is telling mankind not to do it. and as u read the lyrics he says, u are not to blame for bittersweet distractor. thats the devil. reckoner is the devil. and at the end, he says reckoner, take me with you. because now he is ready to go...he has done his part.

  • Excuse my lack of fan knowledge (I just got into Radiohead), but: Thom Yorke is the name of Radiohead's singer, right?

  • right ;-)

  • right. why do people give him a negative cuz he doesnt know? im giving him a plus cuz he just got into radiohead.

  • prepare to get blown away.

Radiohead's music is simply the greatest, most original, most influential and EMOTIONAL sound ever to be heard.

  • lol diana.

  • tom u embarrass me!

  • some video would be cool though

  • i really like this version but i do prefer the album version. I miss the "reckoner" beat on the drums.

  • he sings insanely good in this one.. plus its an acoustic. :)

  • got an mp3 for this version?

    this is really cool

  • I simply cried with this version

  • Why's he singing with lights off?

  • its just the audio, no video heh

  • haha good one

  • I sort of agree with dickies. It is truely amazing to hear this...Just Thom and his guitar belting out the song with perfection. His voice is something special. I have not heard anything like it and to hear it with such clarity is just amazing. I must say I do like the album version and getting lost in all the layers. And when the song goes back into the chorus after the minor breakdown is something that can only be captured in the studio.

  • Ive never heard it done this way before and its truly awesome, i much prefer this to the album version. Just when you think it couldnt get any better they go and do this

  • Yes, this really does expose Yorke's vocal talents. Trademark Radiohead minor key change in the middle.

  • this is really something else!magical!

  • Magique que dire d'autre ?

  • Beautiful

  • This is ridiculously awesome!

  • LEGENDARY song....but what does it mean?

  • i think it has to do with meeting your reckoner.

You can't take it with you= you cant take material when you die?

Dare not speak its name= maybe sacred like yahweh

Dedicated to all you= walking in His will

    Because we separate like

ripples on a blank shore= seperating from your natural body away from life

Take me with you= perhaps meaning tiring of this life take me to a blissful place?

these are just assumptions... could be about a loved one...

  • I think he just wants to get the hell out of here.

  • pretty good assumption though

  • I think those make a lot of sense, but I saw in an interview that thom wrote the lyrics to this in about 15mins, and he didn't even know what the word "reckoner" means.

this song is my absolute fave from the album, but it was sort of disappointing to hear that from Thom. you'd expect him to at least know what the title means. Still, RH is the best band in the universe, Thom and Jonny are the biggest musicians alive. (ok ok I might have exaggerated)

  • I hope this doesn't ruin your opinion of Thom Yorke, but Thom doesn't really know what most of his lyrics mean. He writes them because they simply "sound good". I mean, I'm sure he has some idea of what he's writing about, but for the most part he says the rest of the band comes up with what the inner meaning of his lyrics are.

  • He's still a musical genius though. One of the greatest musicians of all time, in my opinion.

  • well that's just plain wrong

  • He says in interviews that it's more about how you feel about a song than what you want its meaning to be. I personally agree entirely, you can't approach a song with a set topic to write about, you're asking for writer's block, and forced lyrics. Look up some of his interviews, he's quite an intelligent fellow. But that's to be expected. =P

  • I completely agree with Cammertime.

I love Radiohead's lyrics a lot because they are definitely more visual than literal. Lyrics that are written to be super obvious usually end up sounding unintentionally funny than serious, and it definitely would with Radiohead's music.

  • I read somewhere that Thom doesn't like to explain what his songs are about because it drives the song in one direction. He said that he prefers the non meaning.

  • Mm, yes. I have spoken with people, and our own personal meanings of their songs are just all over the place. It's amazing how their music is so relatable to so many people, and in so many different ways.

As for their next album, I could see one in the next year or two, easy. They did have that break between HttT and In Rainbows, but that wasn't all music related, that was for their families and such. I'm excited that it won't be long before their next record. ^-^

  • Magnifique, rien d'autre à dire.

    La perfection existe.

  • this was a live recording on BBC2 a while ago. i love this acoustic stripped down version, it really lets thom's voice shine. i've covered this one, as have many others but you can't touch the MASTER :D

  • Perfection

  • You think this is emo? Then you surely can't tell the difference between some musical term that was industrially produced to make money out of teenage girls with identity problems, and the real deal.

  • emo was a subgenre of hardcore punk from the 80s, it was only when they started mixing it with pop and grunge elements that it became what people call emo today, which is really just melodramatic pop-punk. the important thing is, Radiohead is awesome and Hawthorne Heights is terrible

  • If there ever was the man, then you are it. Excellent playing/tutorial there.

  • RADIO/HEAD IN RAIN_BOWS

  • LEGEND

  • PAT! HEYYYUH!

I want the mp3 for this.

    Do you have it?

  • Um.....Wow...that's just incredible...actually incredible doesn't cover it. Stunning

  • OMG brilliant.

  • One of the best songs of the last decade, on so many levels. Soul shattering, yet so hopeful.

  • a mí no me ngañas

    magnífica interpretación

    la mejor imitacióm que vi

  • This song motivates me to look forward and press on when times get tough. It's definitely a motivational song and lift me up. Thank you Radiohead for all your love. KEEP MAKING MUSIC.

  • i know how you feel i have the chorus tattooed on my arm

  • I saw someone with the chorus tattooed at Manchester when I saw them live.

  • I cant get enough of the chord at 1:08

So damn beautiful!!! One of my fav Radiohead songs ever! along with "There There"

  • A major :).... it goes so well with this song.

And i totally agree with you, this and there there are simply amazing

  • Dead right ! It nearly touches There There territory, but not quite :), thats a big wrap for a song if it gets close to possibly the greatest song ever

  • I agree! That's my favorite song (There There, I mean)

  • finally! the mp3 of this was my most listened-to mp3 in '08, but I had no idea there was a video too!

my favourite song of 2007, it sounds equally fantastic with just an acoustic guitar. can't ask for more - lucky people who were there!

  • Where is the Video ? ? ?

  • um, i actually wrote the comment before pressing play on this one, out of sheer enthusiasm that I had finally found it... :-(

that'll teach me for being too hasty, I guess! :-P

  • any way you can send me that mp3? i'll give you my email or something

  • so beautiful
