I work at a dog track in the USA, our races are considerably shorter than what I've seen from these UK race tracks. Those dogs must be half dead after a race that long.
Hi. over here in the UK we breed Greyhounds for all distances from 250 metre sprints up to 1000 metre Marathons. My dog, Never Say Lucky is too slow to win a sprint race but has enough stamina to stay about 650m. My dog is no more exhausted after 750m than a sprinter is after 300m and he loves every minute of his racing, all the best Graham.
