I'm not sure whether I agree or disagree. It's terrible that girls feel that they have to starve themselves to be beautiful. Because it's true that they should believe that it is our differences that make us beautiful. But if the fashion industry and/or media began to show that big can be beautiful too then many people would stop going to the gym and eating healthy. Is it better to be placed under pressure to be healthy or believe that something which can kill you is beautiful too?
@vanvan134 Neither. Maybe you should broaden your view. No one is advocating being overweight. Girl Scouts of the USA encourage healthy living. Look at these girls. "Beauty begins within. It can't be found by starving one's self." That's the word. No one should feel pressured. Take a lesson from the Girl Scouts, inspire don't burden.
@vanvan134 being "plus size" & healthy is possible. In fact, I look pretty much like these young women speaking. When I started accepting myself & my body & stopped warring with it, I actually became healthier.I started running & weightlifting.I eat great.I love what my body can do (& yet, I'm still a size 12 so go figure). Also notice that these women are advocating girls to start loving themselves, & not become inactive or begin eating cheeseburgers.I hate it when people come to that conclusion
@vanvan134 Beauty is being a healthy you. Your size has nothing to do with it. You can be a size 4 and be unhealthy. My father was slim his entire life. He ate badly and never really gained weight. He's just one of those people. So imagine his surprise when he had a stroke due to unhealthy eating habits. You can be slim and die of heart disease. If we are discussing health, then lets talk about health. Shaming fat people has nothing to do with that.

Very nice. Girl Scouts are positive role models. They're whom girls should aspire to be. It's a shame many look to the media.
