the resulting cut in this video the back shape is partially blunt, when I saw the 3 layer cut video, after the person did the very first cut, the back was a sharp v shape. Both video are called layer cut, so what was the difference that made the shapes in the back of the hair? also the 3 layer cut the v-shape was very deep. how to do it so the v-shape is not as deep? can you maybe make a video showing how to cut to get a wider, less deep v-shape? hope you understand what I mean.

Choppy is not bad, but can be cutting edge! Those who cut their own hair by these rules can sometimes adjust the cut afterwards to suit them. So may salons are WAY overcharging to make people comfortable. SOMETIMES A HAIRCUT JUST NEEDS TO BE A HAIRCUT!

that it tooooooo choppy. and stylists have to go section by section to get all the ends, if you just take all the hair at once that's an amateur way of cutting. if cuts are coming out uneven it's because the stylist cant' cut but the technique of cutting section by section is the proper way.

@Thesheshot You can cut with scissors if you don't have a trimmer it's just as good. Trimmers don't give split ends, we cut men's hair all the time with them, unless you purchase a bad quality one then it can give you split ends. Thanks so much for your comment!
