In case it hasn't been mentioned already, it seems likely that the falling star blocks in that one level of 'The Great Cave Offensive' were derived from 'Kirby's Star Stacker'.
imwaitintostrike there is no right or left masterhand. There is CrazyHand(left) and MasterHand(right) And if you played SSB 1 or 2 or the demo for 3 you would know that
You definitely have visited the speed demos archives. I've watched a lot of those, but I definitely recognize the clips from the guy who did Kirby 64 speed run...
Actually, some of the moves are derived from a boss in Kirby Super Star that does some of the same things with his hands. You'll see in one of my videos sooner or later. ^_^
Actually, Master Hand was a boss in kirby and the amazing mirror, released three years later after melee, so technically the master hand boss in the amazing mirror comes from super smash bros
i didn't say that was him. i was trying to say thats where the hand thing came from. + in ssb64 at the start a hand "masterhand" picks up a random (doll-like, if thats even a word) smash bro and it comes alive. i think the makers wanted to contenu that doll set-up thing. (it made sence to me as a kid ;_;)
wow great vid just awsome these are so informitive and intresting even if I already knew some of these things there are still things I've never noticed or could'nt explain great job

DeDeDe's face is priceless.

Those who say he turned his face in Kirby 64 are wrong, look closer. He's moving his roots to turn.
crazykirby97 1 year ago
uh.. the blocks DO hurt you. i think the problem is that you were in camera mode. the blocks raise your damage meter, but no knockback.

green greens is cool but waspi woods is anoing because hes trow tat apples and that blocks bobms is anoing too
ssbbdiego 2 years ago
Some apples can explode. Why...?
And you missed the "ice-creamsticks" in the background, but no worry, I can explain them:
Look at example 04:22. You can se the "sticks".
Then look at example 07:23. Now you can also see the "sticks".
The "sticks" comes from many Kirby games and is in the background. They do appear in many colours and sizes.
That´s why they appear in the Grren Greens!
Thanks! n_n*

look at the way they flash tho... just like the stars in green greens on melee, so i think thats where that came from

What about the rainbow? Isn't it supposed to reference Rainbow Resort from Kirby's Adventure?

IMO, it a comblination of both Star stacker and the Great Offensive.

plz do history behing Master Hand
Rice9999 4 years ago
wow, i am utterly shocked at your stupidity, master hand was created for the game, his moves are all original, no orgins to them, hence no history
wiineedmario 4 years ago
Actually, some of the moves are derived from a boss in Kirby Super Star that does some of the same things with his hands. You'll see in one of my videos sooner or later. ^_^
CrappyCaptureDevice 4 years ago 4
That tomb stone thing?
Meh, that's not really the same. They're just hand movements, you could just film your hand and say it was based on human movement.
Lotus445 4 years ago
wasn't there a game where u could play as a glove or something?
broly218 4 years ago
Actually, Master Hand was a boss in kirby and the amazing mirror, released three years later after melee, so technically the master hand boss in the amazing mirror comes from super smash bros
wiineedmario 4 years ago
broly218, is right mater hand comes from this game where you played as some wizard's magic gloves, it thinks its called glover or something
imwaitintostrike 4 years ago
i didn't say that was him. i was trying to say thats where the hand thing came from. + in ssb64 at the start a hand "masterhand" picks up a random (doll-like, if thats even a word) smash bro and it comes alive. i think the makers wanted to contenu that doll set-up thing. no, if u look at his trophy, you will see it originated in super smash bros 1. (the 64 version)

are you going to do these for smash brothers brawl too? Just Curious.
09MurphyM 4 years ago
It is from the other games. For the Kirby tetris thing, they needed blocks so they used the star blocks since the stars are the theme of Kirby
prf1027 4 years ago
Well acually, they ARE from Kirby's Star Stacker. I remember playing that all day, back when i still had a game boy.
Great video though. Keep up the great work
