i like the way u manage to pass the whole castle i never thought there was such a challenge like low map percentage the other day i was messing around and finish the game with 80% both castles but now im gonna try to do this challenge =)

But i dont see how i could have shorten the video more than it is

Also its sure if your not a old sotn player, and have a little attract for glitches, this will bore you to death

Im using savestates.... "execution" not realy "that" great

What is "great" i believe, is how i cutted down from 26.0% to 24.0%, the library card in marble gallery is the real trick (my finding)

As whe speak the record is 23.7 tough (-2rooms)

i was beeing ironic whit a touch of sarcasm, seriusly :P anyway sombody should remake sotn and fix all the bugs and abusive parts and make the game harder, so could play it onec more :O

Its same problems than with richter/dracula dialog, when you redub it... it break totaly the original (goofy) spirit

But on the idea i agree, would be awesome to get a real (debuged) sotn

See psp version... there removed 2 bugs... and forgot to fix many old one they did already fix in psx usa release :/

This glitch give less than 10% by itself, but combined with others...

Well, the main point is that the shield rod spell can act like a heart refresh, in some cases

Yeah you can just wolf rise to access him, and you have alucard gears so its near cake, generaly whe aim for the last save point, since beating dracula doesnt show in time attack screen

I guess the most crazy people are wolf rise finder and such other amazing glitching techniques, or even joachim who beated me with a 23.7% score ;)

No it hasnt been recorded yet, actually the difference is very small to this run, only 3 rooms so i will not record it soon, if you wonder about those its in marble gallery, library & IC coloseum

That not easy to answer actually, since when first time i tryed i came with 24.3%, i did recorded the full video and at the end, i did found how to skip 2 more rooms, so i had to restart over from scratch lol

Not speaking of some test runs i did before (to get the marble gallery lib card trick working)

That video took me like 2 weeks to record/edit itself, now for the run, i would say you can do it within few hours, depending on your glitching skills ;)

He was staying at a low level so his strength would stay down. That way he can get more jumps on the skulls before they die. After that point, you'll notice he doesn't avoid moving up levels.

You are totaly right, i dont have any other restraint than bouncing the skull

I think a higher level alucard (IC) would do it, if he can still do big toss on spectral sword & guardian (~200hp max)

There is also another restrain on low level, its the starting, books deal only 7 dmg (14 under poison), so in order to get big toss here, it was hell of a challenge tricking gaibon&slogra (level3 max inside library)

That how i did went from 24.3% to 24.0%, *cleaning* the library :)

Thx, well this is done on emulator, there is no save room! :)

Another player tryed on console and came up with ~26% by taking some save room

I think its impossible to do 24% on console, you need to use savestate for some key point, like the clock tower for exemple

I use also a turbo controller as well, without its impossible

Why is it in Jap version?

Because the trick to skip richter work only on jap version, usa version need to open the stairs upside richter to do wolf glitch in order to skip him, so you would be 24.2%

About medusa, i cant tell you exactly, but yes she give insame exp ammount since im very very very weak at this point ^^

I think without her i would have need to level up more on monsters, coz of the first IC belltower, lot of high damage hits there ("extra" jump)
