  • i did not speak in tongues for years but i knew i had the holy spirit of God inside of me because i was no longer turning tricks or smoking crack now u have people that speak in tongues that practice sin whats up with that?

  • If you speak in tongues through the Holy Ghost you do well. But to my knowledge, there is no poser in tongues. The power of God is through Faith. You will have what you desire through prayer, supplication, faith, thanksgiving and patience, not tongues. Never the less tongues are a wonderful for the individual to personally communicate with God.

  • As 4 Mr. Blazer- I can't help thinking ur touchy about this subject cuz u haven't got the gift urself yet. Neither have I. But isn't that why we are both here reading & learning about it? I don't no bout u but in my case I think I've been unwilling2 totally give up control of my life 2 God, which is apparantly required. I'm trying.

  • Daniel prayed in English??? lol! I realize he meant Daniel prayed in regular normal language,...but I'm pretty sure it wasn't English!

  • Acts 19:6-- Please read and READ again for all those who believe that you dont have to speak in tounges, when you receive the HOLY GHOST.. not saying that you are not saved.. but you need the Spirit of GOD to dwell IN YOU.. not just UPON you!!

  • @qwatkins1 yes, to dwell in you...but it does not say you need to speak in tongues. NO scripture says that. Most say(specifically Acts) sayd GIFT of Holy Spirit and there are MANY gifts wen the Holy Spirit is manifested in you. God is looking at our hearts not your language bc even an unsaved person can speak fake tongues but only God's true children can have a changed and pure heart. (This topic is sooo controversial.)

  • in fact it is evident that REAL tongues had ceased according to the writings of the early church fathers. Please wake up people, spend more time reading the word for yourself instead of listening to hyped up unbiblical teachings or seeking this mystical experience. Paul gives clear instructions about the gift. please read the epistle concerning this. and if any man consider himself spiritual then obey the words of Paul. amen

  • @datyngsta Dude you need to read and re read then re read again and again because I just got done reading that chapter or chapters again and it never once said speaking in tongues ceased or will ever cease from existing in the church it Paul just gives some instructions about it and when to use it in church

  • @joseph941000able so what do you say of this when everything that is happening in the churches concerning tongues is done OUTSIDE of the bounds that paul gives? let's say it hasn't ceased, so now what? You still have well over 3 people babbling stuff that NOBODY understands, all being done at one time, with no interpretations, they don't make any sense, and unbelievers think there crazy cmon its pretty easy to see that it isn't the Holy Spirit. Paul speaks against this stuff.

  • bishop bloomer says"i dont know what wrong with you people that don't speak/pray in tongues" maybe its because they read and took some time to read first Corinthians chapters 12-14. or maybe they did a little studying and know that the big tongues movement is barley 100 years old and has never been held among believers till 1896.

  • Speaking in touges is evidence that you have been filled with the holy spirit Acts 2 1-4 and yes the holy spirit comes in at salvation but you must be filled and yes they spoke in other lanuges at pentacost but the bible speaks of unknown tonuges as well there is also the gift of tongues not every body has the gift for the gift is differnt than the initall speaking in tongues experiance

  • @indianios how is the gift of tongues and initial speaking...different? Where is this in scripture bc Acts 2:1-4 does not say that ...and other books in the bible explain you do not have to speak in tongues to be saved. (sry if I sound...rudem dnt mean 2)

The bible says.....And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues. Not and they were filled with the Holy Ghost which is evident by speaking in tongues or which is speaking in tongues.

  • "comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are FOOLISHNESS unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ."

Its easy to hate Jesus sed try to love and understand. If u dont get it ask God interpretations blong 2GOD

  • Please read the bible n wake up! speak in tongue is God given ability for one to be able to speak in other language so the Wod of God can be reach out!

  • I attented church that speak in tongues.one have to know the origin of speak in tongue. If you read fisrt Cor 14, u find actually don't encourage speaking in tongue.I find the tongue so fake, all worst all quite similar: i dont believe kura ba ba ba ra baba san dei ,kotoromo ku ra baba sandei is actually a ppraying tongue

  • speaking in tongues sounds like gipsy language to me

  • pray in tongues all you want to ...crime doesnt decrease, the economy doesnt get better and the list goes on

  • @kerry53able preach!

  • Not speaking in tongues does not mean that you don't have the Holy Spirit. Speaking in tongues is a gift and God gives different gifts 1 Corinthians 12:1-11. I don't speak in tongues and I have the Holy Spirit. I'm anointed and i've been certified to work in the vineyard. His word edifies me and that's what Christianity is about, it's about how you walk and not about what language you can talk. Obedience is what God looks for and it does not take speaking in tongues to keep God's commandments

  • @blazers21 so if tongue is not the sign for you, how do you know

    you have it>?

  • @noquehago Believe in your heart. If you have HONESTLY believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth that Jesus died for your sins and rose again then...you are saved. Faith is what makes us righteous. We are saved by Faith. This is how you know and if you still feel unsure, ask God to re-assure you of this. Ask for a Manifestation.

  • I'm kinda touchy on this because I thought the spirit distributes what it wants?

1 Corithians 12:11 "All these are the work of one and the same spirit, and he gives them to each man, just as he determines"

  • AMEN!

  • Well, I'm Malaysian, Catholic, and guess what, I SPEAK in TONGUES, and its a yoke breaker!

  • god bless some of us, we can pray in tongues to edify the lord. It is beautiful if

you have the holy ghost. you must live right and you will receive it!

  • @michelle7able you cant edify the perfect. all spiritual gifts are meant to edify the church (your brother & sister). tongues has nothing to do with you this was the problem in corinth that paul was addressing. please go back and read 1 cor. 12-14 CAREFULLY. paul is not giving his stamp of approval of their unknown tongues but rather rejecting it as selfish. paul says that if you speak in a tongue that no one understand, you edify no one.

  • we must know the word 4 ourself, it says n the word win u dont know what to pray 4 the spirit will interceed. In ephesian 6 i think tongues also release mysteries. tongues is to edify the body of christ, now about this unbeliever comment, i have not found that in my word. because it is not there. yes there are people that have that gift, and the gift to interpret tongues, those gifts r 4 christians that has been delivered from their ways. u can't be an unbeliever and receive the benefit of God

  • i´m catholic and mexican for the glory of god but i can pray in tounges AMEN!!!

  • how did daniel pray in english lol......ok

  • 2. now there's another gift where u speak in a heavenly language, which is unknown. now my bible tells me your not suppose to speak aloud in ur heavenly language b/c u may confuse people and that u should only speak in ur heavenly language If there is an interpreter.

sooooo whats going on with the church today do we only follow some of what the bible says???

but Bishop everything else u was sayin was cool tho

    keep spreading the word

  • 1st of all there r two diff. type of tounges that the spirit gives us

    1. the spirit allows you to speak in a REAL languages which isn't yours that you do not speak but someone else does and God is allowing you to speak in that language so someone can hear and understand you

  • I think people need to stop studying to find away around of going were they need to go in

God to fully receive the all of him its easy to try to find some loop hole in the word than just going after God an receiving all he has for you im so glad he fill me an gave me his language it may be a gift but its one that is for you an him first then to the edifying of the body of Christ ps. You dont have to pray the prove it game my answer to all of that is IT WORKS

  • Erroneous teaching. Tongues were a sign to the unbelievers present in Jerusalem that the God's Holy Spirit has been poured out on his believers that was prophesied in the old testament. Not everyone has the gift of tongues. Besides that this teaching elevates this gift above the other and that isn't so. The bible says (I Cor.) to pray for interpretation of tongues because tongues edify the spirit by speaking to God, but we are to pray for interpretation of tongues to edify the body.

  • edify the body (church)

  • Tongues are not a sign to unbelievers (1 Cor 14:2-4). Unbelievers are only supposed to be talked to in tongues when there is interpretation. They are a sign of the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. A prayer language that glorifies God and a spiritual intercession that edifies the speaker. The "Gift of tongues" (Corinthians 12) and spiritual utterance (Acts 2, 10 & Corinthians 14) are two different experiences. One is for everyone (Acts 2, 5, 10, 19) one is for those in ministry in foreign nations.

  • I think you need to read further down the chapter again (1 Cor. 14:22). By all means, please tell me where in the 66 books (bible) that it states "Unbelievers are only supposed to be talked to in tongues when there is interpretation".

  • Great exhortation! However, I am still lost as to how to gain the ability to speak in tongues. Some people say speaking in tongues is not an unknown nondecipherable language. But the way you can communication the gospel and revelation of Christ to other nations. Speaking in their "tongue". Not the same as I am hearing here. I would like that gift however, from my understanding it is difficult to get.

  • Pray and ask God to forgive you of all your sins and ask God to fill you with the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues. Tongues can be given to anybody that ask when it used to edify you the individual in your prayer time and language. Get alone by yourself and wait. The Holy Spirit will not speak for you, but speak through you and start praying and it is not, it is not something you have heard or done before, so it will sound strange, but do it and enjoy the power that comes...

  • Amen!!

  • YES! Awesome! I feel like moving mountains! Thanks Bishop. To God be Glory.

  • Glory to God thank God that we are able to tap into the throne room through tongues!!!!
