I would like to testify to everyone that the gentleman giving this message has the Holy Spirit! I heard this recording a while ago & became very thrilled/encouraged to try interpreting tongues by the method he shared, I was so scared of making a fool out of my self but I let the Holy Spirit lead me some months later.
Whilst praying with my mum (in tongues) one morning I went for it!!! With no breaks for about 4 mins I began interpreting in english. The Holy Spirit is Amazing! God bless you for blessing us with this spiritual knowledge!
According to my mum the prophesy was directed to me(she told me everything).
I remember some of the message but the 4mins actually drained me out, It felt like I had been talking for 30min without breathing. The feeling was so amazing, I haven't attempted this again, but I look forward to continue interpreting this 2012.
spiritual gifts are for the edification of the body, or the church how many times does it have to say it?( 14:4,5,12), in14:2 it says" for one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God".... how does that edify the body when you're mumbling gibberish that no one understands? in Corinthians when speaking about the gift of languages, Paul will use the term "speak in a tongue"(in a singular) to refer to counterfeit pagan ecstatic speech. when he uses the term "speak in tongues" ( in plu
@chrishobbs80 Oh now I get it- You're just a jerk trying to pick a fight. Since you said tongues is "mumbling gibberish" then you really have no idea what speaking in tongues is. How can you say the video is far off when you don't know what on is? Shut the F up.
1 Corinthians 14:27 says "If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret." so wouldn't that indicate that someone else is interpreting for them?
@Memoreism 1 Cor 14:13 says, "Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret." Meaning, that same person, not one person speak then someone else interpret. That would be prophecy from the other person. Scripture is very clear on this point.
@Memoreism RE: 1 Cor 14:27: "If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret." There is an error in translation. The Greek word “heis” translated as “one” should be translated “the same one”. This puts it in harmony with 1 Cor 14:13 "pray that he may interpret."
This is a very nice lesson, however, it would be even better with a living example of the operation of the manifestation. Would you add a video like that?
other than some cases where God allows this to happen to help spread the gospel. everything else is a counterfeit. yes we can be deceived if we allow it to happen. the gifts are distributed by the will of God, after we receive this endowment we have the ability to use them as we shall, they have become ours. so ask yourself who has the ability(gift) to speak in another tongue(glossa) when ever they want? this sort of teaching started sometime in the early 20th century. how much more clear is it
every credible early church father regarded tongues as a language of human kind. but somehow you figured something else out? how can you interpret gibberish? tongues are not for personal edification you clearly have taken that scripture out of context as well as most other charismatics. 1cor 12:7 is just one example that tells us that all the gifts are for evangelical reasons to only minister or build up others. we just take your word for it that what you interpreted was right from God? really?
@lunabranwen Nothing you said in your comment applies to this video. 1 Cor 14:4 says, “He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself;” Tongues are real languages that can be interpreted, they're not gibberish. Speaking in tongues is a way to perfectly worship (Philippians 3:3) to give thanks well (1 Cor. 14:17), to speak the wonderful works of God (Acts 2:11), to magnify Him (Acts 10:46) and to build yourself up in faith (Jude 20).
Great teaching! I mainly speak in tongues in private sometimes for 3-4 hours at one time. Can I interpret and receive revelation in my private devotion? What if I practice what you advise and disengage my brain but record what I interpret onto a recording device, and then listen back to it after?
@andrewcullenmusic Glad you like my video. Interpreting is meant for others to hear. I suppose you could do it alone, but that's not its main purpose. Getting revelation (word of knowledge and word of wisdom) is certainly good to get in private and in public. Recording what you say by revelation is probably ok but I'd ask God first before doing it. Sometimes when writing a sermon, I type by revelation. Hope this helps :)

no gift is meant for self edification, where is that in Corinthians, or acts?

@chrishobbs80 In 1 Corinthians 14:4 it says, "He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself…" (NIV)
