i love how all the buildings just LOOK so 'english'. all the buildings are so old and seem to have personalities :-)

I always imagine how many thousands of people, long since gone, have passed over the thresholds of these old buildings. The stories they could tell if only buildings talked! :-D

Plus, I love the craftsmanship bestowed on some old buildings, which sadly these days is never repeated. Craftsmen are in short supply, and are rarely employed because new buildings are all about cost, and nothing about being aesthetically pleasing to behold.

yeah, i can't imagine ppl building buildings with ornate carvings anymore. it would take too long and be too expensive.

Thanks Travis! I think these Northampton vids are a bit dull for some, but I just dug out some old tapes recently to re-do, so thought I'd inflict my love of history on YouTube! LOL

Thanks very much. They are looking pretty dated now, I admit. I have been wanting to do something similar for a long time, but work and life keeps taking over. Maybe one time when I get a week off with nothing to do, who knows?!
