@momerath216 because in the description he puts his focus on it by saying: "Long haired Grieg player", making people not listening to his mistakes, but instead watching the hair and commenting.. just as i do right now..
a pity the sound quality sucks and your piano is out of tune, nice performance though =) i find it also very hard to play pieces without mistakes, so yea, good performance anyways imo=D
really nice. some mistakes as everyone has said before... i wish you had more on here, gorgeous piano and you play well too :) i'm sure you play this even better now, another recording would be cool to compare.
I like the hair, adds to the charm of it all. Nigel Kennedy isn't 'traditional' either, it's a wonderful thing to enjoy the expression of an being who you are and appreciating the legacy of others who expressed their lives as well, just as this gent has.. All good stuff.. :)
The hell... What does appearance have to do with skill? How about I record a video of myself naked while playing Mask of Sanity by Children of Bodom? =/ Now that'd be weird.
actually-im working on this piece right now. If you look at the music a whole lot of pedal is used even more than you'd expect. Its the way greig put it.
@pinkdonut123 I AGREEEEEEEE! i'm playing this for my piano final tomorrow & as for now, i don't feel like it's possible for me to play it flawlessly just yet. so I congratulate him for continuing to play after he made the mistakes! I mean how often is someone going to play a piece without mistakes?
i love how this daniel kid doesn't even have real videos of himself playing anything on his youtube- only some dumb guitar hero crap. this isn't an easy piece- you're allowed to make a few screw-ups every now and then. I do quite a bit with this one. Anywho, this was very well interpreted and despite you're "rewriting" of the correct notes, I liked it.
I don't know if this has been pointed out but I'm pretty sure that at 1:30 you got the chord after the F octaves wrong. If I remember correctly the first chord is A flat, C and E flat. So is the 2nd, but the third has a B in place of the C. Just putting it out there. Odd mistake here and there (mainly around 1:18-1:24) but overall I think you did a very good job. Sorry to be such a critic.
I think it's quite funny that you're the first to comment about that around 1.30. And the mess at 1.18 and so on,of course. When i played it, it was some time since last time, so i messed up at those specific parts. And since I didn't bother take another shot, this is the result:) A quite realistic performance in other words. Thank you for your critics. Maybe I'll record it again sometime.
very good, i've played this song for my last concert. just try to make those dynamics really drastic, and dont let the pedal drain out the melody. good job though (:
Wow! Very nice. I love Grieg's music. I have 4 "sons", former exchange students who live in Norway and have spent many weeks there visiting your beautiful country. I envy you for your talent. I've tried playing the piano and I know how difficult this music is. Keep up the good work.
why does everyone comment on the hair and not the ugly curtains? lol i luv this peice and the hair isn,t so bad either :]

Lovely music. Nicer if we can see the face. That would add to the quality of the performance.

You should cut your hair, it'd be alot more appealing to watch the clip instead of just listening to it, however you play pretty well.

Wow. I think you are one of the most unique piano players I have seen.
The amazing (forgiving the wrong notes) playing doesn't seem to match the strangely attractive hair. :) Keep both up dude....

Thank you very much!:-) I'am glad you liked even though I really lacked practise while performing. Hehe.

Dear GOD!
PLEASE cut your hair.
Your playing is not bad, but it's not good either. I suspect your practice habits are as slovenly as your appearance.

Also at the slow part the rythm is wrong...its eighth to quarter to eighth. Not all one beat.
ZachAss411 2 years ago
Why did u speed up at the sixteenth note part going down in octaves?
ZachAss411 2 years ago
I would suggest using less pedal... it sounds too slurred. Overall, nice performance...you make it look so effortless.

how do you ensure you catch all the notes? especially at the section before the slow part. it's really hard all those arpeggios
