The whole break thing is questionable, but still it favors Ross' side more - them being on a break because Rachel brought it up first. The only thing that helps Rachel in that they weren't on a break is that Ross called her at the bar place and said they could work it out and they both agreed (which is kind of a "get back together"). Until... he heard Mark and then Rachel was explaining how he was only there as a friend but he hung up early, so Ross' anger and jealousy took over again.

The problem is that everything before the "AND" is identical to a "break up".

So what Rachel did there was telling Ross: "No sex or anything else with me OR anyone else, until I decide differently and we come together again or "actually" break up!" Is that OK?

On a break means giving space to each other to restore a balance compromised at some point during the relationship. Far from breaking up it's meant to strengthen the relationship . Problem is cowards use "on a break" to sugarcoat an actual breakup or even worse they want to check if there isn't anything better .

I like friends, some episodes are just cliche, but most of situations you feel like those could've happened to you and of course your friends. But there are really some bad jokes, and predictable stuff. probably cause they are somewhat oldschool. But in essence is a very enjoyable series
