These kinds of "carpenter" ants do NOT explode. The people saying they wanted to see it explode have been misled. There may be another kind of "carpenter" ant that explodes, but these do not. They aren't even poisonous. The worst thing these large black ants can do is is draw blood with their huge mandibles. They almost never invade homes and prefer to live in trees.

However in the wild when you have a Cheetah chasing a Gazzel depending on which is the fittest that is the one who will survive. If the Cheetah manages to catch the Gazzel he is the survivor if not he will go hungry and depending on the environment he may not survive.
