I got to admire you both...dealing with those noisy and hyper children everyday is not an easy job. If I were in the same situation like you...I would go nuts!
There's a whole other side to Korea that you're missing out on if you don't know the language. It's all good, but just the same, maybe if you took a few quiet lessons on the side (boss doesn't have to know), it could be a lot of fun.
Your students are amazingly cute. I couldn't live with myself not being able to understand what they're saying -- it'd drive me nuts. Also they're pretty loud/rowdy (not like I'm surprised), I've just never seen a classroom so I expected a bunch of quiet kids in their seats. Thanks for sharing.
god...u must be one of the most patient loving person--there r 2 types of people that i admire n respect in this world: teachers n medical doctors--i couldn't do it if u paid me 100 mil a year.
They are very smart! But no, we don't speak Korea. In fact, our employers have stressed us not to learn Korean. They want us to only speak English that way our students are forced to be able to understand us. Of course, we've learned several survival phrases.
@morrowsinkorea just because they told you not to speak korean in class does not mean they don't want you to learn Korean... of course you can learn Korean outside of your work life if you have time.. but if they're aiming for an immersion class of course you need to speak as much english as possible
haha ..a very hyper kids xDD but cute ~

Are those kids always that hyper, or was it because there was a camera present?

In Korea, writing someone's name or your name in red pen is believed to bring calamity on your/their life.
Don't ever write names in red pen while you are in Korea.

Your students are really smart and cheerful. I wish I can go to Korean too and teach children like them. Do you speak Korean?
