this is just another unnecessary update to the game. Nintendo has gotten into the habit of just updating the graphics and adding new levels to their old games and porting them to their current system. They need to start creating new stuff. I think the last good original game they had was wii sports and before that was Smash Bros.

Are you telling me if Nintendo released an 8-bit version of Mario Party for the Wii you would pay 50 dollars for that? with every system we have higher graphics expectations. Nintendo gets away with a lot because their characters are very cartoony and the graphics card in the Wii is fine for the games their making.

Most of the people I know who own a Wii and own an Xbox or PS3 barely ever use the Wii unless theyre having a party. Because that's basically all it's good for. Thats fine. I'm just expecting them to expand their game library instead of just repackaging the same game with a slightly different skin.

That said, Nintendo has existed longer than XBox or PS3, and their appeal is different than either of the others. They focus on story and interaction rather than genre or graphics, which can definitely appeal to a large audience too.

@decklin15 This game? No. But once the Wii U comes out, along with the releases of games that come out with it, it'll most likely be a different story. And usually, Nintendo saves all their best releases for moments such as those. After than, they fade away for a couple years.
A: all of its "big games" are just 30 year old franchise piggybacks. No game or story originality here.
B: I hate motion control and all that crap. You'll never see me with a Move or Kinect. I just think the concept is retarded.
C: The selection tends to give you the feel of "child's system". Don't get me wrong, I'm not Mr. All-Games-Must-be-M-Rated, but it's nice to have a few games on my shelves that remind me I'm 28,

A: I don't think it's much of a franchise issue, like repeated sequels of movies, but more of a series sort of thing, like new episodes of a hit TV show that people just want to have, which they do.
B: That's clearly a matter of what someone prefers. Me personally, I'll dork out on those controls all day. xD
C: Same as the second one. Though Nintendo could use a decent blend of stuff in that department.

@DonteGameReviews Well, they don't explain it outright, but hey. That's E3 for ya. Instead, you tend to get a feel for the game, and what you see here is basically a series of simple-yet-fun mini games as well as a more traditional Mario atmosphere for the game boards. (Something resembling World 1 of New Super Mario Bros. Wii rather than the random settings of more recent boards.) This stuff alone does bode well.
@Robodav64 What tablet? This isn't Wii U, this is Wii. Wii U is coming out next year. But if you're thinking the Udraw game tablet, then no, because that's third party.

this is just another unnecessary update to the game. Nintendo has gotten into the habit of just updating the graphics and adding new levels to their old games and porting them to their current system. They need to start creating new stuff. I think the last good original game they had was wii sports and before that was Smash Bros.

It's just more of the same year after year. I'm all for fun but don't make me pay 50 bucks for a slightly better version of the game I already own. We know the graphics aren't going to be that much better.

Other franchise games do it all the time. COD, Just dance, The sims, Of course all the sports games but they pretty much just change the rosters for that year. @IAMAKNUCKLESFAN you're right, my point was that Nintendo isn't trying to start any new franchises they're just rehashing their old ones for every new system. The only games that are any good on the Wii are the ones made by Nintendo, they have horrible third party support.

If you don't like the game, then don't spend $50 bucks on it and leave nintendo or MP fans alone. And the graphics what does the it matter about the graphics may i ask? @hinaru77 ...you obviously missed my point...My point wasn't that the graphics need to be better. I was making a statement. "We know the graphics aren't going to be that much better." The gameplay looks exactly the same. So if the graphics arent improved and gameplay isn't improved....why do we need another sequel. Spend their time creating a game worth buying.

Nintendo made another sequel cause more MP fans want a squeal. But u can't put MP 9 down yet if you haven't even played the game.

@hinaru77 nah graphics are an important factor especially if you're talking price point. Are you telling me if Nintendo released an 8-bit version of Mario Party for the Wii you would pay 50 dollars for that? with every system we have higher graphics expectations. Nintendo gets away with a lot because their characters are very cartoony and the graphics card in the Wii is fine for the games their making.

What I've noticed is that Nintendo adds Nostalgia to their games. Make it a brand new classic. But then again this is just me speaking. I'm just glad this wasn't turning out to a flame war. MP i agree that there were some that weren't the best but that doesn't mean that it the rest of them are going to be horrible. Nintendo tries their best to staify everyone but as you know not everyone is going to like it but i can tell you one thing.That the wii has sold system then the ps3. look it upon

@hinaru77 yes i know the Wii sold more. They preach that like its some kind of banner achievement. Most of the people I know who own a Wii and own an Xbox or PS3 barely ever use the Wii unless theyre having a party. Because that's basically all it's good for. Thats fine. I'm just expecting them to expand their game library instead of just repackaging the same game with a slightly different skin.

@The80sKickAss I have to agree on some parts looking it;s tho that they do repeat some mingames like the baseball one but doesn't mean that ppl shouldn't buy it cause you might have other mingames and there better, more fun. And i guess that's why the wii is still the top selling console then and probably will be for years to come if party games is all that it go for. :/ But i guess ur opinion is ur own and my opinion is my own. @halofan10989 Judging by your name, I'm thinking I know what you support. Though I'm confused why you would come to this video, look for a comment supporting Nintendo, and then say that it sucks just for a bit of annoyance, I can understand why you'd prefer Halo.
That said, Nintendo has existed longer than XBox or PS3, and their appeal is different than either of the others. They focus on story and interaction rather than genre or graphics, which can definitely appeal to a large audience too.

@decklin15 This game? No. But once the Wii U comes out, along with the releases of games that come out with it, it'll most likely be a different story. And usually, Nintendo saves all their best releases for moments such as those. After than, they fade away for a couple years.

A: all of its "big games" are just 30 year old franchise piggybacks. No game or story originality here.
B: I hate motion control and all that crap. You'll never see me with a Move or Kinect. I just think the concept is retarded.
C: The selection tends to give you the feel of "child's system". Don't get me wrong, I'm not Mr. All-Games-Must-be-M-Rated, but it's nice to have a few games on my shelves that remind me I'm 28,

@TheEmperorHasSpoken I definitely hear you on all three of those. Here's my point of view.
A: I don't think it's much of a franchise issue, like repeated sequels of movies, but more of a series sort of thing, like new episodes of a hit TV show that people just want to have, which they do.
B: That's clearly a matter of what someone prefers. Me personally, I'll dork out on those controls all day. xD
C: Same as the second one. Though Nintendo could use a decent blend of stuff in that department.

@DonteGameReviews Well, they don't explain it outright, but hey. That's E3 for ya. Instead, you tend to get a feel for the game, and what you see here is basically a series of simple-yet-fun mini games as well as a more traditional Mario atmosphere for the game boards. (Something resembling World 1 of New Super Mario Bros. Wii rather than the random settings of more recent boards.) This stuff alone does bode well.
