I'm still new to video blogging, I only started a few weeks ago, and the most time I ever spent on one video was almost an hour (not in one sitting). Having set my expectations low since I'm still new, I thought it came out pretty good. I do hope to surpass that satisfaction level though. There will always be someone somewhere out there who enjoys the same things/formats that you do. So if you make things the way you like, they will like it as well.
@darksunandthecomet1 Those are all good points. I've mentioned a lot of what I like to put into travel vids in previous posts on the blog and in the podcast before. I might make a Top Five Tips and Tricks video next year.
When I watch travel videos, whether they be on TV or online, the location often takes a backseat to the presenter. I can watch a hundred videos on Korea, but you're more likely to connect to the content when you identify and connect with the person you're seeing it through. Watching culture vlogs in Japan and Korea are what got me into YouTube in the first place. Now look at me, hopelessly addicted... Thanks, Steve.
@MrJingjong ;-) Hope I played a small part in your adiction... wait...... is that a good thing?
You're right, the host plays a huge part making a show work.If one is going to host a show, you've got to have that captivating personality that transcends the location.
for me i love making videos even if other people do not like them or watch i just like to make videos because its just fun to do :) have a good day

Vlogging is tedious, but addicting.
