  • for me i love making videos even if other people do not like them or watch i just like to make videos because its just fun to do :) have a good day

  • I like the sound effect / zoom in opening! Good info here Steve, thanks! I'm off to Costa Rica in Feb and plan to make some vids.

  • @ericsurf6 Excellent, I can't wait to se them!

  • I'm still new to video blogging, I only started a few weeks ago, and the most time I ever spent on one video was almost an hour (not in one sitting). Having set my expectations low since I'm still new, I thought it came out pretty good. I do hope to surpass that satisfaction level though. There will always be someone somewhere out there who enjoys the same things/formats that you do. So if you make things the way you like, they will like it as well.

    Vlogging is tedious, but addicting.

  • @blackhat2005 Very true! Stick with it! You'll be a pro in no time!

  • which application you use to edit your video ?

  • @jerome1668 I edit in Final Cut 7.

  • @darksunandthecomet1 Those are all good points. I've mentioned a lot of what I like to put into travel vids in previous posts on the blog and in the podcast before. I might make a Top Five Tips and Tricks video next year.

  • When I watch travel videos, whether they be on TV or online, the location often takes a backseat to the presenter. I can watch a hundred videos on Korea, but you're more likely to connect to the content when you identify and connect with the person you're seeing it through. Watching culture vlogs in Japan and Korea are what got me into YouTube in the first place. Now look at me, hopelessly addicted... Thanks, Steve.

  • @MrJingjong ;-) Hope I played a small part in your adiction... wait...... is that a good thing?

You're right, the host plays a huge part making a show work.If one is going to host a show, you've got to have that captivating personality that transcends the location.

  • Hey! What kind of camera are you holding up in the thumbnail pic of this video??

  • @lorenchristopher That's my old Vixia 10 or something. Hasn't seen the light of day since I got my HFS11.

  • @noealz so true.

  • Great advice!
