havent kept up with her career or if she is still fighting, but Ms. Rijker has always been an outstanding fighter, and i don't mean for a woman(no disrespect meant) i just mean flat out outstanding. besides having fantastic technique she keeps a cool head in the ring. womens ring sports could ask for no finer example, much respect.
I had the honor of meeting Lucia back in the late 90s and even sparing with her (she took it easy on me). She is a class act and a great ambassador for the sport of boxing. I'm glad Women's boxing is in the 2012 Olympics without her dedication and commitment to the sport i truly don't believe it would have been possible. Congratulations Lucia! Your still awesome and gorgeous as ever!!!!
to wXTubing-your opinion is not backed up by anything! That comment about 1:04 I heard or saw nothing. Boxing is a great sport! It builds confidence and strength in one's own personal character. Now just because a women learns boxing doesn't necessarily mean she should go out and fight men! But it is a skill that is useful in it's own right.
@wXTubing - Too late, she is a retired champion in the Boxing Hall of Fame. Crying from emotion is a strength in men or women and she isn't in the ring. She is harkening back to a childhood dream and choking up, just like you do or anyone else does. You might consider listening to what she is actually saying instead of staring at the counter.
I hope she has a slick style and good defence because it would be wasteful to get her face bashed up! Fair play for womens boxing, not a massive personal fan of it but I enjoy participating and everyone should be able to get involved with that at every level.
u r gorgeous! i love u lucia!!!! <3

This comment has received too many negative votes show
no offense ladies but at 1:04 you can see why women shouldnt do a sport that is meant for men.
