cairo-dock ubuntu hardy

If you want a dock Cairo, Kiba, AWN, or Docky are all great dock bars. I personally prefer AWN the most but seeing as how I use a netbook. I just turned my panel on the buttom to a dock and autohid it while removing expand, it takes less resources and does what I want. :]

how do i install cairo-dock i've tried and it doesn't seem to work...i have ubuntu 8.10

Hi, I have Cairo-Dock at the top of my screen but it sometimes gets covered (occluded) by my panel (task bar) - anyone know how to keep it on top (raised above everything else). The "Keep below all windows" setting is set to 'off' already. Can I set a special rule somehow jut for cairo-dock to keep it above the Panel? Thanky.

could someone show me how to get this to work on 8.04? I'm not sure how to add respirators and what-not

it's a very good bar, but at least with me, it has shown lots of errors, like when i use the mac os x theme the name of the icons doesn't appear.

what is the second bar over the bottom one for?

Its a sub-menu. Like if one of your icons is for 'Places', the bar above it will show your folders for Images, Audio, Movies and Documents.

Looks nice. Any hints on how to get it working on 8.04? It worked for me on 7.10, but haven't been able to get it to run on 8.04.

Cairo's smoother than avant by far, but doesn't have the same task monitoring, and won't install in Fiesty AMD64 :/
