  • Venezuela needs to invest in it's own infrastructure. There's no reason that woman in the video should not have access to running water..

  • I can understand what your saying, but before chavez these people had nothing. You cant expect miricales to happen over night. How can anyone critisise a govenrment that helps those who have never had before. The only people in Venezuela who dislike the Chavez government are those who already had everything before and are not happy to see the wealth being shared around.

Regardless of what right or wrong any govenment does, it's hard to be unhappy seeing the less fortunate given a chance.

  • It's easy to be unhappy when you see how ineficciently the money is spend. Please understand that the revenues of the country has multiplied by at least 5 times (the average price for oil in the nineties was aprox 15 dollars a barrel). Chavez has been in the power for 10 years and doesn't has a solid plan for the future. The fact is that we the population that we have right now, the oil is not enough.

  • Great Report! Probablythe most balanced that Al-Yazira has presented about venezuela so far, the previous ones havebeen very escuelito oriented. Chavez needs to fight curroption & disperse all the fake chavistas working in the gov't. But it so dificult when you country is always under the threat of deestabilization. And how the US & ecaulitos can use these cupportioninvestigation oportunities to create a another coup or something liek that. But he still needs to go forward with it & take risk!

  • yeah yeah, he just should trow them all in jail, better still, put a bullet in their head. I'm being sarcastic of course

  • 9:36 The most significant comment "not accountable to the central bank" Now how refreshing would that be to all those people accross the world right now who suffer under the orchestrated implosion of their economies.

This series so far, has the smell of vinegar, of sour grapes. The more projects that are sustained for ordinary people while the oil lasts, the better.

  • So what happens when the oil runs out....

  • The Oil like the North Sea oil will last for at least another 500 years. Its Coal the world is losing not oil...yet. By the time the oil has ran out we will see that other things have been developed including socialism in other nations.

Laugh or slate me as propaganda i don't mine at least i tried to tell you the truth.

  • Other countries are starting to invest in alternative energy and trying to find ways to not depend on foreign oil.

  • Cheer on alternative fuels. Alternative fuels will liberate the world from the octopus arms of Chavez and King Abdullah.

  • Socialism does not really work btw, its only working in Venezuela because of oil, and if the oil prices are too low then they wont be able to pay for their socialist programs.

  • But the oil prices have already dropped to an all new low but he was voted in again and the economy is growing very fast my friend :)

  • You could ask that question to the whole planet!!!!!!! It's not just Venezuela who has to think about oil running out! Now go back to school and worry about things that actually concern you like your homework.

  • Well if the oil runs out or if we become less dependent on foreign oil then these poor people are screwed.

  • Mate maybe i was quite harsh before because you've been quite respectful considering my comment. All i can say is that by the time we stop using oil the whole planet will have to change. This does not mean we will be screwed it just means we will have to find another way of life and hopefully it will also stop so much power struggle and wars based on the oil which destroys the planet and creates havoc. A world without oil might just be a better place!

  • on the contrary. When a new source of reliable energy appears, It would be hi-tech and only the rich country will have access to it. Let's work for a more balanced world and try decrease the injustices that always has plagued the world

  • It's appears that PDVSA and Chavez are as corrupt as the former regime. Things never seem to change.

  • We should be able to fight for social justice without having to be assimilated into the Chavez cult.

  • Are you say the PDVSA and Chavez are not corrupt?

  • The cause for social justice is not corrupt. Chavez is.
