@420dadi dear i made it with yogurt and i used the yogurt to achieve the desire consistency , means i did'nt used water not a single drop even.and keep the batter overnight in a warm place, like a room where the heater was on the whole night.
@foziyasweetgirl123 yeast helps ferment the whole batter and i dont think we can substitute yeast for anything...you can find it in the bakery section of your supermarket!
I would love to try making these for myself! I grew up with a friend who had a german mother and an indian father and the amazing food that came out of their house was to die for! These were one of the things that her Mom made and I just loved them!
@smile123alot you can get yeast in any grocery stores, just look in the bakery/flour/sugar aisle. Also you may ask a near by bakery shop if they have for sale. And yes yeast is necessary to make the batter raise. Thus why she said we have to wait an hour for it to raise, to make them nice and crispy. Hope this helps.
Hello Manjula Aunty I Follow ur recipes it us really simple to make it
jellebi is my Favorite dish you add in jellebi yeast aunty can you tell me which yeast you use in market many variety yest so i confused please reply me

@mranita53 I tried that and it works. You still have to let your batter sit one hour or it will fall apart. Jalebis come out crispy instead of chewy. Still tastes good.
Hi Aunty, I have tried many of your recipes including rajma, chole, spicy alu etc. One doubt reg. this video- Should I make the batter, and put it in pre heated oven for few minutes (but the oven should be off not on?) is that correct, for how many minutes should the batter be in warm oven?
Just want to tell that I made Jalabi in spain to some spanish friends and it was the best they have ever tried, please keep going you are doing a great job. we love
HY AUNTY MANJULA.... THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING SUCH A YUMMYYY SWEET DISH CALLED JALEBIS.. I JUST LOVE THEM AND SPECIALLY LOVE YOU FOR YOUR MADE IT SO DAMN EASY.... I TRIED THIS AT MY PLACE BUT I WANT TO KNOW THAT SOME OF THEM TURNED VERY SOGGY.... THAT TOO AFTER DIPPING THEM IN THE SUGAR SYRUP.... CAN I KNOW THE REASON THAT Y HAVE THEY TURNED SO SOFT... SOME OF THEM THAT I FRIED MORE TURNED OUT LIL CRIPS BUT THE REST SOFT LIKE COTTON..

hello aunty ji. i love ur cooking a lot. my question is:- can u plz tell me(in ur pani poori recipe) which spoon u call a teaspoon wheather the one with which you tasted the chutney OR the one with which you took the chutney out of the blender.(I'm unable to send u a msg through that video , so trying here)PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ REPLY.
Hello Manjula, I love watching your videos, and have tried a couple. Is it possbile that you could give a rough guide as to cup measurements in grams and millilitres. The cup is not a unit of measurement I am familiar with at all. Also, do you eat lovely food like this all the time or is it just a family treat saved for when you make the videos? Thanks for all your kindness in putting together this channel.
thank you aunty for this recipe ( i love jalebis). chotisi minor si problem occured while i was preparing, as u said i kept the batter in the oven ( but with oven on)
Manjula, you have a new fan! I love your videos, thank you so much for sharing. I'm caucasian, but I grew up with my Indian step family, so you've really taken me back to my childhood with your recipes. I'm so excited I will finally be able to make some of this delicious food myself. Thank you :)
I am a great fan of your videos, the ease with which you cook almost everything is worth appreciating. I was interested in cooking since I was a teenager. I always love to learn how others cook the same dishes that we cook at our home. I loved your Jalebi, Pani Puri and Samosa videos the best. I hope you continue to post different recipes for food-lovers like us. Only one regret is that we don't get to taste the dishes you make :(.... Thank u very much for all your efforts :)
Manjula ji I tried your nan, bhaturas, chole palak (only I substituted palak with methi and I think it tasted very good) and gulab jamun and they all came out fantastic. Ab jab mera result ayega tab main jalebiyan banaoonga. Thank you for your videos..Because of them I can eat all my favourite food even though I am here in the UK.
@Manjulaskitchen Namaste Aunty, at first many many thanks for your wonderful recipes.. I followed this recipe and made Jalebi several times, but my Jalebi does not absorbs the sugar syrup and thus remains dry inside. Please let me know what to do for a juicier inside. Thanks again.
Aunty i love u, more than your recipies. You remind me of my mother. One silly question. Is self raising flour exactly the same as maida or all purpose flour. And can i make stuff from self raising flour that i can make with maida or all purpose flour. Plz answer me aunty, m in a huge fix.
I love everything you cook....Ive tried several recipes and they are very easy and taste wonderful......thankyou for the help. Please keep posting diff videos .....look into writing a recipe book...I think you would be wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol i love my garam garam jalebi so now i can make them at home instead of having to like travel half an hour away to get them thankyou for your help you really are a diamond xx
hello aunty, da jalebis luk really mouthwatering....m definitely gonna try it out. I hav a small doubt, do we hav to keep it in da oven or is dere anoder alternative....if no oder alternative can u pls specify da microwave oven sttings...tthnx..waiting for a reply :)

HI Manjula ji,
I am a great fan of your videos, the ease with which you cook almost everything is worth appreciating.

Namaste Auntie Ji I was just wondering, do you add food colouring if you want them to be really orange in colour?
HoneySweetLotus 1 year ago
@HoneySweetLotus
I don’t use food coloring.
Manjulaskitchen 1 year ago
@HoneySweetLotus The Safron in the syrup gives it a orange/red hint. That's the coloring.

@HoneySweetLotus the saffron brings the orangey color

Ab jab mera result ayega tab main jalebiyan banaoonga. Thank you for your videos..Because of them I can eat all my favourite food even though I am here in the UK.

@Manjulaskitchen Namaste Aunty, at first many many thanks for your wonderful recipes.. I followed this recipe and made Jalebi several times, but my Jalebi does not absorbs the sugar syrup and thus remains dry inside. Please let me know what to do for a juicier inside. Thanks again.

Is the saffron necessary for the taste, or just for the colour?

@FibonacciPrower
Saffron is for flavor but this is optional.
