  • 08:17hey!that's not power up.you know?

  • did you see that?just take one power up,the muscle is very large!

  • @teambuddies98 yeah!i know.at 00:43,right?

  • master system and megadrive/genesis versions are the best versions

  • Anyone else notice it tells you to Rise from your crave?

  • It's using FM chip, isn't it?

  • @CEITCOGIDO No it isn't.

  • What is with all the dissing? The master system version is far the best version, sure the graphics are worse and it's a bit clunky, but it rewards skill more than any of the other versions and there is always a way to get past a certain point without sustaining damage, whereas in the other versions sometimes you pretty much just have to trade life to continue

  • The sprites are pretty BIG considering the fact that this games is running off an 8-bit system. very impressive!

  • Being an young AVGN regarding C64/Amiga500. This game tormented me with shitty controls, poor graphics, and yes its alot harder then it looks like, i only reached lvl 3 or something cuz of the impossible controls, . SEGA sucks, and i'd rather suck on a frozen turd then having to relive this horror, but i guess i return to it some day again just to prove this shitty game who's boss. I loved the whole morphing thing, but rest was just chunky asscream thru a thin straw.

  • Love the music on the first level. Shame there's no music during the boss fights.

  • doesn't seem like that great of a port. Guess it's just the limitations of the master system. Esp the boss battles. It's also missing the Bear level.

In general I'm a fan of Altered Beast

  • @azeeislight I do agree with you.

Look at the NES version now that was a good port despite some of it's flaws.

My personal favorite port is the Genesis version since it's so damn good and the one I played the most.

  • @JackRed666 The NES version looks like ass compared to the Master System version.

  • @azeeislight Really? The Beast that was facing the Rhino looked like a Bear to me.

  • @azeeislight What do you expect from an 8bit system? It looks amazing to me. The sprites are huge.

  • This game should be remade for PS3 or 360.

  • I love the random beginning "I command you to rise from your _C_rave and rescue my daughter".

and the old guy let the freshly risen zombie guy get his daughter in the end, without even showing up!

  • When the Dove Flies at 13 minutes in, that one frame is so poorly place.... It is pretty neat to see such big sprites in a 8 bit game, but still, what were they thinking with that Dove animation?

It looks like it is really giving it's all just to stay up there.

  • The scrolling and sprite movement are junk. I know the master system is capable of better than this.

  • @fruitbane i think there was a nother v of this on a nother sega System

  • @goldandragoon Yeah, the Genesis/Mega Drive version wasn't so bad. For that matter, the PC Engine versions weren't bad, either. But this Master System one is pretty embarrassing.

  • @fruitbane yeah its like this v is just a harid beta test x_X

  • Power up nice digitized sound :P
