She didn't reenact Diana's life. The movie was based on what most "young" girl groups went thru trying to be stars. However, many of the scenes were re-enactments of the movie "Lady Sings the Blues"; like that big pic of her with the Afro in the office. Overall, it's obvious that Diana Ross isn't too thrilled but she playin it off. I think it's because she doesn't get paid when movies like this come out. dreamgirls was a really good movie!  and even though i didnt see beyonce as the lead actress in it, beyonce was a really good actress in it. i hate people who just think just cause someone is orginally a singer, that they cant act. the movie was great, and so was beyonce. especially jennifer hudson.

Most singers can't act so I guess you'll hate me too. I saw the movie too and Beyonce can act "NOW". She couldn't before. She had to take voice, dance and acting lessons for this role and she hit a home run. Most singers who have a stage presence can usually act but I think Beyonce hed back due to nervousness. Now that she control more of her life and not her father we see the difference.
